It's with a heavy heart that I post this. Dave or Foredeckdave as we all knew him passed away a while ago after his latest operation, I received an email from his wife Anne letting me know.

As Anne said in the email to me he loved posting on here and was a valued member of the little community that is the Liverpool board.

The Music Thread became his domain and he posted track after track on there, I would like everyone to post a song on The Music Thread in memory of Dave, it doesn't have to be a sad song just something that you like. I think that would be nice.

I'm going to miss him as will we all.

I hope I've spelled everything correctly and that the grammar and punctuation is correct or I'm going to be in trouble.

RIP Dave YNWA

Will miss his posts, my favourite memory was of him posting the link to the BBC audio for 606 saying we're top of the league when he called the radio show and ended the call by saying "suck it up Tobes". A true red through and through, hope he's sharing a good rum with Shanks up there <rose>

His last music thread post, his actual last post (on the same day Jan 12th) was a disagreement with Tobes but this isnt the place to get into that

I wanted Dave's opinions on a pretty ****ty season (I feel it has been with how we look on the field) as I've relied on them in the past. He always posted sense and I like to read the older Red's posts when im frustrated

In fairness mate I'm damn sure an argument with Tobes was equally as fitting as his last tune....we all know he wouldn't have had it any other way :) good tunes and arguing with the resident blue......the stuff of legend <ok>

Was about to say the same thing...its what I remember most about him, aguing with Tobes <laugh>

Really sad news. Dave was a great part of this forum and was one of the main reasons the Liverpool board is as popular as it is. His passion for music and passion for Liverpool was evident and made most of his posts must reads, even if you didn't agree with his opinions in them.

Didn't really know him as well as some of the others on here did but I'm still upset by this news, which shows what an impact he had on the forum and everyone that's posted on here over the years.

Rest in Peace Dave, this place will not be the same without you <rose>
