The beauty of 4-3-3 is that it can quickly become 4-5-1 if there is a need to defend. So no concerns.
Never concerened over tactics, nige knows exactly what's best for the team, and not only has a plan a, but also a plan b, c, d.....z He can change the formation come as how the game presents itself and the better part us he knows how to change it around when the original isn't working! In nige I trust.
Not concerned at all - I don't wish to sound disrepectful but I am somewhat bemused that anyone should be concerned at this time. NA impressed me alot last season with not just his tactics, but also how he got mostly young players working within his systems. He varied when he had to and the players responded. Perhaps 4-3-3 is not the best tactic for a newly promoted team to use - but what do I know?? In Nigel I trust to get it right. Me; I like 4-5-1 because it gives better coverage to the defence and going forward you have options through the midfield.
I dont think we need to worry about tactics because we have no influence over what they will be plus we trust NA do pick the best formations and tactics because it is his job and spends the whole of his days getting this stuff right so I dont think we need to worry one bit
The beauty is getting the players accustomed to different formations and tactics as you need them for different situations throughout the season. Guly, Lallana and Chamberlain all played across the midfield and up top at various points last season and that can only be a good thing. My one early concern is that if Hammond & Chaplow do take a back seat that we lack a little steel. The Championship still contains a few bruising sides
He played 442 against the Skates with Lambert and Papa Waigo as the front two and Antonio and Lallana as the wide men... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/13/southhampton-portsmouth-live
