My eight year old boy just said: why chip the ball into the box, why not hit it hard like they do?
My CR team talk would start with a question: why are they enjoying this game and we are not?
The choices are:
1) I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown, ffs why do I keep on doing this?
2) If we turn this around I'll be smiling until Sunday.
How obvious is it that Benteke always makes his runs in behind Isla?
Otherwise 3) Still liable for a nervous breakdown, and pouty bottom until Sunday.
Snooker is probably the sport for me?

Result!! My car's still here and undamaged!

Great fun second half, would have been happier if we'd grabbed the late equaliser but hey ho. Don't know what it sounded like on telly but we sang our hearts out, Villa quiet except when they scored, daft as it was a big crowd, could have really got behind them.

Now for the 8 hour 25 mile drive home.

Respect!

Jenas & Mills looking in their crystal ball only see 9 pts in the cards for us given our remaining fixtures, so based on that we finish on 35 pts. The 2 extra points if we could have held on for the win would have been massive - 37 pts and GD could mean safety this year.

But they're not counting points against chelsea and City. We always seem to be in with a chance against City and they will have given up by then!

Massive respect Stan...I could not have faced that match...with my constant fear of what is about to happen
Safe journey...see you Sunday

The proverbial game of 2 halves. Had we carried on in the 2nd as we did in the first, we'd have been dead and buried, but respect to CR for the changes, totally different affair with 5 in the middle, traore, and Henry made a big difference. Kranjcar was terrible. Who knows, if we'd started with that team.....?

oi oi, whats your problem chum?
aren't people allowed to express an opinion without being called a wum?
apologise please.

Ok, sorry for calling you a wum, but someone answered your question that villa would be a point worse off having lost and you said that we would still have had 4 points from the games as if that's the same when it clearly isn't as we would be a point closer to villa! Also I don't mind managers being passionate and celebrating, in fact I admire it but Sherwood is like a politician over cooking it and trying to get the fans to like him like he's one of theirs, it's just fake looking and makes him come across as a twat!

You heard it here first post 142 at half time

We always play much better in one half than another...sometimes the first...sometimes the second
Today it is the second half we play well
<whistle>

Just back in my hotel in Brum. Feel mentally drained after that. The highs and the lows of being an R all rolled into 90 minutes. 3 defensive mistakes for all of their 3 goals. Their first was offside I thought. Krancjar had an absolute shocker and was getting booed by the time he was taken off. When Charlie scored the 3rd, the travelling R's went mental. Shame we couldn't hold on for the win.

Great support. Decent performance all round apart from the defensive mistakes. The lads are battling so we have a chance of getting something on Sunday. Keep the faith lads and lassies. We can do this.
