mate if you know you are innocent, please dont ask us to vote for you!!!
The only thing any townie knows right now for a fact is that they themselves are innocent.
Which is why voting for me is stupid
I fully understand that there is no way another townie can be sure of that, but still, I know voting for me to be lynched means we lynch a townie tonight, so will do whatever I can to make sure I am not in the vote.
 
Current votes (unless some prick has voted whilst I'm doing this)...

Bod = 2 votes (Tobes, AFC)
Tobes = 1 vote (Billy)
Astro = 1 vote (Bobby)
Nozzer = 1 vote (Biscan)
Biscan = 1 vote (Nozzer)
No lynch = 3 votes (Astro, Bod and Gerrez)

They don't have to though... Recruiting someone just casts doubt on anything anyone says.

Plus if they recruit someone they said were innocent earlier, then can't trust them either...

We don't know who they are. We only trust someone claiming to be an investigator based on their information anyway. If they give good information we win. If they give bad information we kill the investigator and go from there.

They can only recruit one; the other will still be telling the truth and may be able to call them out. Besides which, as soon as the first person named by the recruited detective turns out to be innocent, then it's pretty obvious that they're mafia.
 
Can the Mafia just recruit someone tonight to make things more interesting please <laugh>

It doesn't make the game pointless. It shifts the balance. Usually the mafia can sit back and let townies kill each other.

I have explained how now we can in fact sit back and wait for the mafia to move first. So now the only people trying to get people lynched should be mafia or innocent morons making themselves look like mafia.

sorry but this is a totally open game and one in which you came on and asked a seemingly innocent question, thereby trapping me to your tactics and then revealed it.

it is actually an approved mafia game.

for the record I think it will be as boring and pointless if you all vote no lynch for 3 days in the hope of finding all 3 mafia. If i were mafia i'd sit back and do nothing unitl you got bored and when there nobody left to vote cos people are ignoring it i'd then kill anyone who stands up as says they are detective.

I think i should just be a **** and say no lynch is not an option cos i got trapped by the superior intellect of astro.

I'm assuming the detectives don't say anything until they have three names, in order to avoid being picked off by the mafia. If the mafia then recruit someone, then they'll beunknown, but it'll be one mafia against several townies - town should win from there.

It's like the "vote for people to put pressure on them" strategy

Except in this game we can actually put pressure on the mafia by NOT voting for people
