I'll try again. I'm sure CR will stick with long ball, but if only he would play something like this, and also but not only, go for them on the floor, with angles, runs, interplay and position switching. If Adel and Vargas are half way fit, WBA are a team that could be outplayed.:-

    Isla------------------Ned----------Caulker-----------Traore

    Phillips-------------------Adel-----------------Vargas

Sorry, spell it Yun then! There's not much between them, I don't think. Yun is less likely to make big mistakes at the back, but makes a lot anyway nowadays, but Traore can give us more getting forward down the left, and he is good in the air which could help against a Pulis team. It's too late for caution, so I'd go for him and Isla at back, instead of Ned and Yun, with Clint at CB.

    Green
    Isla Onuha caulker hill
    Vargas Barton Sandro Adel
    Zamora Austin

This team will do the job.

Yun to weak to face a Pulis team. Clint will do a mans job. Adel to weave his magic on the wing... I can see it all now rangers to win 3-1.

The trouble with Traore is that you get the impression that he never learned the rules until he was about 20. He is always taking the ball out of play. Great athlete though and he is one of those players who you think ' he's got scope'.

Is anyone thinking of having Phillips in the middle? He seems to shine there. I don't think he really likes it on the wing; he seems to run out of space.

He won't drop Charlie but I think we could do worse than trying Zamora and Vargas in a 4-4-1-1in Col's line-up...

If he's one of the three behind Austin they can all interchange positions.

Yes. We need a bit of off-the-ball movement at QPR.

I'd probably go for the same but with Hill in instead of dodgey Caulker. Onuoha is quite fast and Hill has great positioning and wins almost every aerial ball.

Yes, I'd go with exactly that.

Taarabt has shown in the past that he can influence the game from out wide and it would be handy having Vargas in the middle to support Charley. Vargas has shown an ability to work hard and support his team mates, albeit from the wing so far. Charley should be able to operate as the lone striker, otherwise he'll never make it in the EPL, with us or anyone else. Smaller players than him manage. He just needs the support.

One thing is essential to me: we must play 4-2-3-1 in order for the two defensive midfielders to shield our defence and limit our vulnerability to quick counter attacks.

Yep I wouldn't mind having Clint in there.

I'm afraid my sentiments exactly. I have given up and feel totally disillusioned.

Whereas most managers would be looking that there are points to be played for and really going for it I feel CR has accepted we're down and that's that. The way he talks and his body language don't fill me with confidence and that probably filters through to the team. Can't imagine someone like Sherwood, Dyche or Pearson accepting relegation at this point.
Am expecting a depressing drive back from the Midlands on Saturday to be honest.
