British clubs playing in the Champions League and Europa League from next season will receive a share of a 2.24bn euro (£1.67bn) prize pot.
Uefa is to increase funding by nearly a third from 1.66bn euro (£1.2bn).
The deal will also see money being distributed more evenly, with Europa League participants getting increased revenue in the qualifying rounds.
Uefa president Michel Platini said: "Uefa should work with associations and clubs to find the best solutions."

Might make English teams take the Europa League more seriously if more money is involved as well... makes getting into Europe (even if it is the EL) even more important.

Sad to see one of football's biggest icons name yet again dragged through the mud.

Best was a brilliantly talented player but his son is hanging out the dirty washing to dry in public to make a few bob, its his son's right to do so I suppose but what the lad reveals is hardly unexpected given his dads biggest problem-issue and illness.

Another example of giving young players to much fame and money to early in their lives and careers.

Sterling take note.<ok>

To be fair to Calum, he is making a few bob for himself at the right time. George has been gone a while now and there was never any secret about his life-style, Calum never gave him any problems while he lived and can do no real harm now he is dead.

Yeah, but like i said Bestie never had much to hide, his life was an open book and if you ever went to one of his guest dinners you would have heard all this and more from the man himself. If his son can make his life more comfortable i am pretty sure George wouldn`t mind, he lived to the full and had few regrets.

To be fair Callum best was raised badly and I don't doubt that he feels absolutely no guilt in using his fathers problems to feed his own addictions

Wellllll best was easily lead and I think that the lifestyle available in the 60s was radically different to that of the 50s (from what I read) so maybe old men running football didn't see it as a problem at all

One has to wonder that even in the 80s or 90s when tony adams and Paul merson claimed addictions if they were capable then

Funnily enough we all knew of players who were soaks in the 80s and 90s but it's London boys who fell apart during their career. Again why imo when a player wants to go to a city not a specific club alarm bells should ring... Alexis Sanchez take note!

Robson, McGrath and others, ruddock in particular at lfC in 90s but to a man the problems become very clear in later life

ah no though... van gall won at anfield so he must win it.

LFC were awesome and not at all bad due to two squablling turds on the right and such.. no cos utd were imprssive in two of three games they get the award.

wneger can swivel as far as i am concenred

I think that utd playing after us this weekend is of huge utility to them

I cannot see them ****ing up if we win so our best hope is a 5 point game to utd and only 3 to arsenal

Big big game for us this week
