Hardly a put down![]()

i dunno.... marcelo certainly was key under mourinho at end as well.. I just think personally he had real stars in his eyes.... i don;t know why bar the moeny perosnally peoepl go nuts fr these two spanish clubs but recently they have gone mad with money due to tv...
I am just utterly shcoked the smaller clubs have not rebelled in spain and told the big two to pony up of **** off. when one team gets <10mil and real gets 200 mil or something it seriously unbalances things.
Atletico get 1/3 of reals tv money and are i n4th hanging on to CL as seville and valencia challenge them.
In england its a communist utopia of clubs like stoke raking it in and it makes city and chelsea at least have to keep somewhat honest at the top....

Yes i think Marcelo played more in his last season, i can't remember exactly but i think Coentrao was playing a lot to begin with, especially the second season. Think Marcelo has improved a lot, maybe he needed the competition but before he was a defensive liability. Coentrao thought he could maybe take advantage of that maybe, being portuguese and all and i think he's quite chummy with ronaldo playing in the same portuguese team?
Anyway, that duopoly in Spain is a joke but i guess when half the country supports one or the other and its the status quo, its quite hard to break away from it. Especially when you consider that the tv money is probably everyone tuning into Barca and Real. It's not right but I guess thats what their argument is.
Wow. This thread lives.

A big well done to Utd on their first trophy of the season.

Not really, considering that it was for his work with the Dutch national squad.
Admittedly, the Netherlands did do much better than Liverpool at last year's world cup.
