From what I know Lafferty wanted to leave the club so its a bit of a moot point as to whether we should have kept him. He's been a complete waste of money. He 'is' a good player but if he's not got his head right to play for us then he shouldn't be involved. Frustrating though.

He worried me in that when he played for us, he'd invariably go in for a rash tackle in the first half and get a yellow card. Good player in the right team and with the right tactics IMO.
 
No offence, Cromer, and I agree that Bassong has been important for us since he's been back, but "masterstroke" is a bit of a strong description for 'not being Neil Adams'! :emoticon-0143-smirk

Getting Bassong back was great, but Neil seems to have failed to keep Turner in the fold, and Lafferty looks like another. I don't think it's Lafferty's attitude, really, as all the vibes coming from the dressing-room were positive on that score. As for Adams, yes he did lose Bassong, understandably IMO, but he did bring Wes back from the cold and where would we be now if that hadn't happened?
