In the one and only Toon KGB/Magia game so far he was assigned as a standard innocent with no powers. He was hopelessly lost and didn't have a clue. He made a daily plea to his fellow team members with powers to come forth and guide the innocents, who were losing badly. Due to this vulnerability, he got 'played and drawn in by a deceitful KGB don (whoever that was :bandit: ). Having unwittingly helped the KGB pick off his colleagues, Less Hope was killed off, finishing on the losing team.

He spent the 6 months since then pleading for JPF to set up another game so he could seek revenge.

No game!

So imagine his excitement when he heard about this one. He couldn't wait to get his own back.

The roles were allocated and Nev was... a standard innocent with no powers. Oh well, still a chance of being on the winning team. Maybe.

He gets in late at the end of play on night 1, having not posted...to find you lot had already lynched him!!

Poor Nev. Maybe next time mate!

He definitely wont get lynched first night no matter what next game now then.... <whistle>

Actually a lot changed but originally I was told a hack would only get to change one bit....I was a bit pissed off you got to change both the articles tbh. Anyway I loved the journo role and game was pretty well balanced considering how many play :)

I think the mafia had it easy tbh...but that was down to luck of the draw. AFC as chief cop, Magic as Magic, RHC as replacement...we did well to make it to Friday <laugh> <doh> [HASHTAG]#keystonecops[/HASHTAG]

The hacking ability was pointless if all the journalist has to do is write the same information several times and the mafia are only allowed to change one part.

The journalist should have to come up with intelligent strategies like hiding codes into the the actual text, not just press copy and paste a few times.
 
Yeah we will have to fix all that based on learnings

Honestly first day there were done clues. Nobody got them

We should if using classifieds ensure journo can only submit the one article and no classifieds

To be honest you could use the classifieds to misdirect as well so not a big deal for me that journo can write in classified

It's sign of respect and fear to be targeted early in mafia

However it also really ****ing ruins the game lafs
 
How about having 3 equal sized teams but where nobody knows who is on their team at first? not totally sure how it might work but at least everyone starts in samde boat and every other player could be both enemy or friend until you learn more.

That way any actions you take based on past games or which footy team you support could ruin it for you. Need to be open about who to trust/distrust.

At least if might last a while before people get killed off, while propld investigatd or get fed clues, so everyone gets a fair crack rather than exiting on day 1.
