Off Topic mafia 5: game thread

Been reviewing all the result and papers and realised missed this...

"Followed a person who was approached by the Italian Mafia but refused so cannot be named"

Only person that can refuse the Italian Mafia's advances... is a Russian Mafia. That man... Swarbs! The Italian Mafia should therefor know he was Russian... so then who has been trying to go for Swarbs in the last couple of days? They would likely to be Italian

 

Only problem is we know Biscan is a goon, but can't be sure who the Italian don and prozzie are.

So do we lynch Biscan and risk the don acting again, or stick with Trev who I think is probably the don (tho' it could well be BobbyD).

 

The biggest issue I have now is that as well as losing 2 tonight, one of those is now a mafia recruit.
So even though I was starting to at least get a sense of who to trust, I can't trust any more. Not even the most obvious ones. ANYONE could have been converted. And yes, I know, for the sake of suspicion, that makes me equally likely as anyone. So the only people who can truly trust each other are the Mafia. We are fooked, depending on the newspaper - if that can be trusted now!

FFS my head hurts. I now know how Less Hope felt in the Toon game.

No one's been trying to go for me, that I'm aware of. I haven't been killed or assassinated or anything. Not that I know of anyway?

 

This Mafia recruting malarkey tonight has confused the hell out of me. I don't know who is who anymore

 

Ok, Swarbs has pretty much worked out the clues in the classified.

Me and Bod were masons... Bod got killed and I'm the GM.

I recruited tonight and was successful meaning the person I recruited hasn't been recruited by Mafia.

 

Also the first page says the vigilante can resist recruitment, and you'd have to assume that if the police chief can't be recruited then neither can the major crimes cop. So it could have been Magic or the vigilante the Mafia approached.

 

By the looks of it, the Italians didn't work out the clues Bod left in the classified about me being the mason so didn't recruit me and risked on someone else.

 

Maybe you haven't been recruited, but you are wrong about me - I wasn't recruited and haven't been targeted by the Mafia. If they'd tried to assassinate me then I would be dead!

 

Think the major crimes cop can be.

 

Any clues we can get the mafia can get, so if it needs to be kept out of the open then no clues.

 

Nothing in the rules that says the Mafia can't recruit a Mason. And nothing that says that Mason wouldn't still be able to recruit in the Mafia.

 

I'm putting my neck on the line and saying Swarbs is the Russian Mafia.

I'm admitting I have a role as GM and think everyone knows that now so as a known townie, might end up getting killed tomorrow via the dirty mafia but hope can at least take Swarbs out with me.

Maybe, but Biscan's argument hinges on me being "targeted" by the Mafia, which didn't happen. Take a look back - nowhere is there a hitman after me, nowhere is there any big swing of votes towards me. The Mafia haven't paid attention to me at all, until they prozzied me tonight.

You can't even get your logic straight - you claimed I was "100% Italian Don", then "Maybe not don but definitely Italian Mafia" and now tried to claim I am Russian Mafia. With no evidence!

Even if I was, then your logic is that I am Russian Mafia. Which is utterly useless to the town right now - there are only two Russian Mafia but there are three Italians. If you waste a day chasing ghost Russians then the Italians will only get stronger and the town will lose.

Either way, Getting rid of a Mafia member is much more important to us than lynching another townie which we seem to be doing at the moment. Small steps..

I'm not Mafia. Never have been. Why do you think RHC was going to give me his power when he thought he was going to be lynched?

If you aren't actually Mafia then all you are doing is playing into their hands by going after an innocent whilst they win. The fact you can't even explain why you are targeting me shows that you are going the wrong way.

 

A lot of toying from Swarbs and IBWT. Maybe we should put the pair of them up and see what votings take place as I have no idea who is telling the truth.
