Evening all. So all those of you who wanted Cook & co to get a break have got their wish. No game this weekend. So all the players should be able to get a lie in, go shopping, trip to the pub, or just take it easy. What's everyone on here going to be doing instead?
All those you suggest, plus if either of the weekend days are decent will take a trip to donny races.
I got a funny feeling we'll be reverting back to 2 strikers between now and the first 5 or so games next season, Imo we're going to need too if we want to push for promotion. Next season is a whole new ball game, 6 will leave and 6 will come in, we're going to need an average of 2 goals per game if we want to be near or in top 2, I don't think a loan striker will cut it for us next season, thing is, with 2 strikers up front, we're going to need a midfield that knows how to feed'em properly. Cellino told Austin he'll be back after his suspension is up, we may well see a few changes around team, and up to boardroom level.
Only problem there LL is Cellionos other pending legal problems. Personally I don't think he will be back. Either way, I hope it's resolved sooner rather than later. If there's one thing we've learned this season of s not to piss about preseason. Whatever signings need to be done early on and a proper preseason organised. Start playing top opposition again rather than the garbage we've had for several summers in Cornwall and Italy
That's a good point Eire and is a possibly, I don't know if you've read his interview with Austin but here's the link if you haven't. http://simonaustinsport.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/more-upheaval-at-elland-road-inside.html Just seen the other breakfast debate Eire so yes you have seen it.. Also seems Umbers may be the cause of the latest turmoil, while the cats away and all that; if anyone's leaking anything to Bates or others, then my moneys on him.
Whatever happens, I think were all agreed we've got the basis for a promotion push side for the first time in a few years and theyre young. Only a couple of quality additions maybe needed to make the difference. The crucial thing now is keeping hold of that quality somehow or another. Hopefully if Cellino does stay, hell have learned that much from his little holiday
