Oh I see RHC changed, I had it at 3 votes on magic for no apparent reason lol

Slightly odd that the other inactive people have been ignored but people are quite happy to vote magic, I'll be keeping an eye on the lot of you!

The paper says Swarbs was identified by his shoes right.

Yet classified says Astro is Italian goon and famed for wearing these exact shoes o_O

If paper is genuine how would mafia even know shoes would get a mention? (we know journo hasn't been recruited yet). If paper is hacked and the Mafia also placed advert why would they mention Astro then Swarbs? Change of target? Then why not just change their classified too (if they are allowed to do that)?
 
The plan before the paper was released was to focus on the inactive posters. This seemed to be Magic, RHC and Cym although there are a couple of others that haven't said much as well. I don't think we should have more than three up for lynch.

The consensus at the minute seems to be that the paper was hacked (I obviously agree as I'm innocent) so why not wait until tomorrow paper for conformation?

Surely that indicates the classified is correct and the paper hacked...ie journo placed a classified as insurance. Can the journo not place an ad in the classifieds?

Sorry to be a pest Mito <hug> Can you confirm or deny the journo knows the contents of adverts before the paper is published and whether or not he can place an advert himself?

I can neither confirm nor deny about classified contents. I can confirm every player can submit a classified

I'm not sure waiting and voting at random today is an option. If we don't nail an Italian tonight we are doomed....dooooomed. If the paper was hacked why pick out Swarbs? If he's being fingered it must be for a reason. If they have info on him (or yourself) having a role then you are targets for tonight (thus we will be at least one more townie down tonight....unless you are Russian mafia <hug>). If you aren't the axe murderer then the likelihood is bringing you into the paper was done by somebody you usually banter with regularly (puts RHC and IBWT very much in the frame <laugh>)

Astro what do you have to say about you being fingered in the classifieds?
 
My initial thoughts are that the paper is fake or could be fake. However with the money situation I'm unsure. So going into day 2 the Italian mafia had 70k and the Russians 20k, the Russian don was lynched so that put them down to 10k, meaning they couldn't afford to do anything last night (Assume it works like that MITO?). Bodanki was killed by a hitman, presumedly sent by the Italians. So unless the Russians somehow got 10k in their coffers with some stupidly easy secret ability when all they'd publicly done was recruit Danilo who then died, they couldn't afford to hack the paper. Also with the two revelations, since the Journo didn't actually say anything on the first night besides recount the lynch and my witness account, maybe they saw Gerrez day 1, when the serial killer was actually active, and then saw Swarbs day 2 when the Italians were active.

Either way with the understanding that the paper cannot be hacked again we can wait until tomorrow for the journo to reveal all, unless it wasn't actually hacked today but is tomorrow haha... In that crazy scenario it might actually be worth the journo coming forward with his evidence though so not a big bother.

For now I would like to echo my request for @afcftw to put out a list for the vigi to shoot from and the journo to investigate from. We're in the driver seat right now so it's important we make inroads before the mafia set us back. Also afc I would advise locking me up tonight to make me an expensive kill.

I will also vote for Magic for the time being at least.

is it only the mafia don who chooses the mafia actions? Or is it Don makes the big actions and prostitute and the goon are able to choose their own mafia actions but not the big ones like recruiting/killing etc?

I've been down this road in previous games. People know who has banter with who and they know posting styles too. Players use this to mislead others; the last game saw a newspaper report worded by Danilo or Lucaas (?) to look like RHC and myself.

Personally, I think votes should have been on the three inactive early today so we could watch for a reaction. Its probably a bit late for that now.

Edit...

And we're not doomed at all. We have eight players. Russians have one? Italians two and then the serial killer. The townie team clearly outnumber any of the others ATM. Plus as I said before, the serial killer needs the townies help to get rid of the Mafias.
 
Also worth noting seemingly no witness reports, whoever was the witness should really just come forward even if they didn't find out much.

My understanding was the Don got the deciding vote but in his absence the majority vote ruled :huh:
