If I was to say "people like 'them'(blacks) shouldn't get the chance" that's racism as I'm stipulating people with a specific skin colour.
However when Les says "'we' are not getting a chance to manage" he is also singling out a type of person?!

As TJ / Funk rightly say... He's given himself even less chance now as potential employers will be thinking about the repercussions should the need to sack him occur
