#meltdown that's the only description for Skrtel and Gerrard's stupid stamps. Skrtel especially. Gerrard wanted to leave a mark, literally in his last game and went too far. Skrtel after the Costa incident.. what a clown, deserved ban
Anyone who's ever played the game would tell you that was intentional. He knew exactly what he was doing and fully deserves a ban.
The only question is given the recent spotlight on him over Costa, what made him think he had a chance of getting away with it. That's why I maintain Skytel had a little girly #meltdown. Gerrard was just far too worked up, Brod must have given him meth instead of inspirational words
Gerrard probably thought that friend of the Kop Atkinson would give his stamp the blind eye given it was literally seconds after his arrival. Fair play for his apology but I noticed that he didn't include the player he jumped on as part of it like.....
No, he absolutely wasn't, and I said so at the time. That said, I also called the Skrtel one a deliberate stamp on first viewing, as did most people. More akin to Costa's second stamp on Skrtel that he got away with, than the first one on Can that was like Gerrard's; but he's bang-to-rights. Can't understand how Atkinson can claim how he didn't see it at the time though.
I wouldn't have if herrara had slid into my ankle, studs up, without touching the ****ing ball. No excuse for gerrard though - he should have dived to the floor gripping his ankle and screaming. Same Atkinson who stood and watched from ten yards away whilst pienaar attempted an amputation on Mascherano, and sent off Kyro in the same game for allowing Fellatio to stamp on him, btw?
Being discussed here http://www.not606.com/threads/boss-my-message-to-players-after-united.295527/page-3 The fact Skrtel outmuscled him with a fair shoulder barge (not a shove) means absolutely nothing Momentum didnt take him into Mings ankle He wasnt going for the ball Where is all the outrage for Rooney to be banned? He went for his ankle, it is really simple and easy to see
Absolutely. Even had Skrtel pushed him (he didn't) how would that account for him flicking out his leg to kick Migs? Momentum? Fucl off ' what on earth would make you flick your leg out like that if you were pushed over/ It's a blatant. petulant kick, as testified to by the smirk on Shrek's gob as he trots away realising he got away with it.
Agreed, his fake apologies afterwards doesnt hide the fact he went for Mings ankle You can see it in the video ffs. He's a dirty player and was mad he'd been outmuscled Like I said in the other thread, we have rightly criticised Skrtel, Ballotelli and Gerrard yet there is none for the incidents by Utd players by our guests to this board
As a neutral with no allegiance to either club.. I think watching thru your 'red' tinted glasses marra. Skrtel clearly pushes Rooney into Mig. Liverpool imo played into Man U's hands... The players played the occasion as opposed to the opposition. From what I've seen this season Liverpool are a better footballing side but Gerrard, Skrtel, Sturbridge et al were more bothered about showing the Kop how much they wanted to get 'stuck in'. Just my opinion like
