Can anyone explain to me why Real Madrid are 4/1 tonight, is Ronaldo injured?

It just seems way over priced to me, as I think they are well equipped to soak up pressure, and hit Barca on the counter

Ronaldo hasnt been doing the business of late shergy, recently split with his super sxy russian model so spanish media reckon that is the reason to blame for his drop in form.the fickle madrid fans want him dropped!
Liverpool have been very dissapointing so far, brodge will need to change things if they are to get anything out of this game

We'll aslong as he's on the field I think 4/1 is to big, him and Bale will cause there high line a few problems.

We've got this game against Liverpool, how could you of backed the scum? We're far to good on the ball for them

Cracking goal from Mata. Was chatting to my son at half time and as the second half started he said "Gerrard's come on; that's not good news"

It's just based on form Shergar, Barca have hit form and Madrid have been on the ropes slightly but it's a ridiculous price. I'm firmly in the Madrid camp and I think the media over there have made a massive deal out of Bale's so called lack of performances. They also seem to be trying to create a rift between him and Ronaldo which hadn't been helped in recent weeks by Ronaldo's somewhat diva like behaviour.

Personally I think Madrid will win tonight and 4/1 is a massive price, bookies usually play it safe so am surprised the price is so big. Regardless of either teams form this is still the biggest game in world club football so silly price on offer.

Good result for United today Shergs. Arsenal up next for Liverpool so top four looking a lot better for your lot now

Liverpool were shocking today, seems the way all too often in the biggest games :( It speaks volumes for how far the Premier League has fallen that you'd actually think this mediocre United side could end up 2nd! Can't fathom how it's going so wrong for City this season. Really thought they'd strengthen and challenge for the CL.

I hope your right, I've bottled going for the 4/1 outright win though, and layed Barca on Betfair. It works out I get about 11/8 for Madrid and the draw.

Yeah top 4 is looking good now, we seem to do well against the better teams away from home, but we struggle against the weaker teams away. If Arsenal win next week it'll be near enough settled if we can win aswell

    Mediocre United side???

Is this the same mediocre team that has outplayed the scousers home and away this season?

We may be going through a transitional period, but we still have a team full of world class players who are capable of turning it on when required. Brendan Rogers and Liverpool like to pride themselves on the passing game, but in the first half especially they could barely string 2 passes together, and where like rabbits in headlights up against the superior footballers in Uniteds team.

Infant there isn't a single player in Liverpools squad that would get in our first 11. So if we are mediocre, how bad are Liverpool?

Old boy I think you've gotten the wrong end of the ole stick here! I wasn't having a go at United, my point was that the Premier League isn't the standard it was and I was using United's high standing to illustrate this point. Remember around 5 years ago when our sides more than matched anything in Europe bar Peps magical Barca side? When the Champions League QFs and SFs had 2 or more Premier League sides left, sometimes more? Compared to this season when in the first time in 20years there ain't a single English side in the last 8 of either European tournament. Crikey in the Europa league our teams are being humbled by even East European sides!

Of course all this will change next season in the Champions League when United's team 'full of world class players' such as Phil Jones, Valencia and Fellaini are unleashed on Europe's finest... <whistle>

I fully agree that the PL is struggling in Europe, and that's because SAF left the top team, and we dropped out. But we'll be back next season, with a strong squad of players and England's standing as one of Europes top leagues will be restored.

You can laugh at some of our players, but Jones is a decent defender, whilst Fellaini is a class act if used correctly. I agree Valencia is a weakness, but we'll be spending again in the summer, and I'd fancy a quality right back will be near the top of our shopping list

Real Madrid are 7-2 tonight to win and the draw is 10-3. I just can't ignore those prices as anything can happen in these games and how can you have such odds with a team containing Bale and Ronaldo? Yes, Barca are the form team but so were Liverpool and they were well beaten. Form doesn't mean alot in these games.
