343 improved our defence because it adds an extra bloody centre back! It's not rocket science. But it's a zero sum game. You give to the defence, you take away from the attack. Which is why we lose the midfield battles all the time.

Also 343 is so demanding on the wing backs. Any one really think markovich and Moreno have the ability to play that role!? To do it v well you need to be a every good player. As soon as we get a long term skrtel replacement we will revert to 4 at the back

To be fair a lot of top players are hot heads, even when they are experienced. Zidane head-butted someone in a world cup final for **** sake.

That master tactitician Rodgers has publicly said that we needed at least 74 points to get a CL place. In his dreams. Even if it is that low figure we would need 7 wins out of 8. And can afford only one defeat.

Seems to work in the previous 13 games were we won 10 and drew 3 taking 33 out of a possible 39 point and were the only unbeaten team in 2015...

"I was disappointed with the first half, our start position was way too deep. They were excellent and deserved their lead. But the players showed incredible bravery in the second half and showed character.

"Without playing great, we still had a good chance. We needed some luck but it wasn't to be. We will get a reaction after this and finish the season strongly.

"Steven apologised to the players and me in the dressing room. It was probably frustration, we didn't put a tackle in in the first half but the players adjusted well.

"I have seen the Martin Skrtel incident. The ball was played through but it probably looks worse in slow motion. it looks like he is trying to get a nick on the ball, to get a toe on the ball but the ball went into the goalkeepers hand. Martin is not that type of player, he was just a fraction out.

"We have to refocus on our next game and we knew there would be one or two defeats on reaching our points total."

The mancs did the double over us this season, the reverse of last season, people still think we've made progressed and the mancs haven't?

And failed dismally when it really mattered. The cracks have been showing for a while now, we've been blunt as a ****ing spoon up front. Half the reason we've improved so much is because Rodgers finally realised borini, balotelli and lambert weren't worth playing in any circumstances.

It is the pundits who have hyped our performances. We were not that great against Swansea and we were outclassed in that first half too. A lot of the time we were simply lucky

Burnley ****ing beat City. Stop believing all our bloody hype, our team of last year would destroy us this year.
I'm just saying, I think we've a lot lot more work still to do and firmly believe 343 is not our future and I've said that since Christmas, it's not a knee jerk.

I cannot believe how in a match of such importance Rodgers got it so badly wrong. I am gutted.

He must have known he had to get it right. The tempo of our team was so damn slow. What was he thinking about?
