That's exactly what I've been told tonight, but I am also privy to 'the stuff going on away from football' which is not for this forum, so I'm glad the club are being generous with our little Legend!...............<cheers>
 
Leon is not what i call past it but more the fact that he is not the leon of a couple of years ago and we now have younger players that can do the job better under monks playing style than what Leon is use too........Leon is a legend and can still do a job if called upon but to do it on a regular basis then he would find it hard and that is not a slant on him at all, it's a fact of life....
 
Nobody can retain the ball in our squad like Leon. Nobody in our squad covers full backs when they bomb forward like Leon. Nobody in our squad is as calm under intense possession as Leon. Nobody also closes down opponents like Leon.

So what can the others do better than Leon?
 
He has been poor this season valley hence being dropped and not even making the bench even though he was fit...what you are seeing must be in your dreams while asleep...<laugh>

If we are playing 4 CMs he'd play before Jonjo every game for me.
Obviously Ki, Cork and Gylfi play too if fit.
