Off Topic mafia 5 pre-game discussion (includes sign up stuff)

Nothing is being decided. MITO has set up a very interesting game with a lot of new mechanics that it's worth trying to get your head around before the start of play.

I think the game will proceed quite quickly with the potential for multiple deaths per night e.g. lynch, vigilante, serial killer, hitman, plus witness caught could be 5 people dead night 1.

The serial killer is an interesting role as it is #neutral but might help the town. The chances of getting a town person is higher than a bad guy but since all 6 of the bad guys have roles but only 5 (initially) townspeople have roles he has more chance of hitting an important bad guy.

P.S. considering MITO himself asked for no posts in the game thread and half the mods immediately did it I don't think you need to worry about people listening too much.

I am going to a wedding today so wanted to give you the scenario before weekend

Nobody will have their role pm til Sunday

Strategies here therefore will I think all be town as in effect everyone is town now

 

I was going to make the himan a role but I felt it would be too hard balance it out

My early mechanics were hit man to collect money to use himself as a third party bythe has a risk of dying so can say yes or no to hit. If a mafia wanted to hit the cop that might kill him, or both send him..... Then... Well it'd spoil things unless he got to say no

If someone changes their hit how to communicate and negotiate was just to awkward

Therefore you have serial killer role and I preserve the money for hits angle

I didn't actually hear back at all from sir tennisball and i gave 2 pms so I think he is active on not606 but not replying.

Not angling for anything, but I have been mafia twice and a townie once.
Have my fingers crossed for a town role this time, rather than mafia again or just a plain townie.
Obviously will take whatever I am given, its all good fun

clearly im the best. Was just let down by my team the time we lost

ee did pretty much anialate the town in the last game though, took hen until the last round to even get one of us under suspicion

No worse than the game where me and Billy I think it was were stuck with BRB, who completely ****ed everything.
Worst.mafia.ever.
Got himself lynched earlier on through hilarity.

Haha no the 2nd game we played. I've been Mafia the last 3 times! 1st game was the don and nearly won only for 1 lucky investigation from Sky I think it was which blew the whole game open.

2nd game was the don with 0 power but led my team of me, gerrez and Enricky to victory then last game was the goon and you lot annoyingly didn't believe my bluff so got myself lynched

Still not not sure why you lot didn't fall for it though
