No you cant

Some aeorplane windows do open though. Cessna single engine aeroplanes have windows that open. That is possible, because these small aeroplanes are significantly different in three ways: They are not pressurized, they don't fly as fast, and they don't fly as high.

An airliner is pressurized to allow people to survive being at the extremely high altitudes flown. (People can't get enough oxygen in the thin air up there, so they pressurize the cabin to enable comfortable and safe breathing.) Without going into too much detail, this would make it so that opening a window would cause a massive rush of air that would take almost anything not tied down in the row or two around it. This could include body parts, although unless you can fit through the window, you probably wouldn't be sucked entirely out, you'd just plug the window with part of you hanging outside. This wouldn't be great.

Also, a jet aircraft travels many hundreds of miles per hour in cruise. You wouldn't want to open the window due to the extreme noise this would cause. Most of the noise you hear in an airliner is wind noise as it is, and that's in a closed container.

Thirdly, the temperature outside at cruise altitude is well below zero. Fresh, yes. Comfortable? Not one bit.

The pilots windows can only be opened on the ground. The pressurization in the cabin prevents them from opening them in the air. These windows usually also double as escape hatches for the pilots.

Air freshner would be a better idea Saint

FFS <doh> He was taking the piss <laugh>

For reasons Unknown to me, I have modding tools access for the Liverpool board!
Just so you all know, I have messaged Mick and let him know.
Until then I will try to restrain myself :D
(Kidding)

lol Maybe Minxy or Brb granted me mod rights as a troll as I spend a lot of time on here.
That did cross my mind <laugh>
More likely it is just a mistake though.

I reckon they pressed the wrong button and they were trying to delete your account :p

Edit: its probably to do with the Node tree thread. I used you as an example of mods having the 'Staff Member' label rather than 'Forum Moderator' tag. Perhaps he thought you were a Liverpool poster as a result for some reason.
