MOTM Henderson? Not sure what else Allen had to do to get MOTM... was the best player on the mark today

Satisfied with the three points, obviously, but not with the way we approached the game. My old nerves can't stand this 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go business.
I know we don't throw too many goals away these days, but it only takes one mistake or a lapse in concentration.

Didn't you think we were really calm and composed once we scored though? Especially away from home - I was expecting an onslaught but we just controlled and saw it out. Pleasing to see

A win is a win and 3 points absolutely essential. <ok>

We will have to improve to get a win on Sunday. Our performances have not been great and with all the away matches coming up after we need play better than that.

Think because we've not been "That" team since Rafa days where we can actually sit and defend a 1-0 lead... going to take some time to get used to, especially after regularly conceding 2 or 3 last year.

Mig, 7 clean sheets in his last 11 league games since coming back into the team...

Think he's only 2 clean sheets away from Forster at the top of the Golden Glove table now as well, still ahead of Coutois, Hart & De Gea.

That's what I mean, the team seems to be starting to believe they can control a game and not panic

Gerrard came on and was effective in front of the back 4.
nothing flashy but kept the ball moving forward.

FFS Rodgers keeps talking and talking when he's interviewed <laugh> The team bus will be back in Liverpool before he gets off the mic

Yup, Gerrard did a job when he came on. Was efficient with the ball and broke up play a couple of times.

He can still offer us a lot but just not starting every game. I'd keep him for next year if we had the choice but he'd have to accept being a squad player which he clearly doesn't want to be.

Excellent analysis from Carra and Neville. All those doubting Rodgers need to see what those two appeared to have spotted. Still on thefence about Rodgers but if he was involved in the goal all credit to him, changed system and an assist.
This stage of season not arsed about performance - want the points in the bag.
Well done lads
