I actually think it was the other way round mate. Redknapp was shafted by the Club.

At a critical juncture he was undermined and had someone running around behind his back trying everything to scupper his work, the most obvious example being the transfer window shambles. I talked to my old man the other day and he said the same and remarked "the Club could never have any luck doing what they did".

Several players did not like the way Les was sneaking about undermining Harry within a couple of weeks of arrival and complained. He was even told off by TF for being too obvious about it. Les Ferdinand is NOT the saviour and never will be.

Losing Loic Remy when we did was disastrous. I believe that he and Charlie would have weighed in with 25 league goals between them at this stage. He was the only forward we have with pace and more importantly he knows how to use it. Still with the contract get out he has there was always the risk that would happen.

Just as disastrous was not using the money we got for him to buy another striker on January 1st.

Just twelve appearances all season for our former striker. Nice work if you can get it.

Negative turning points:

1. Late goal for swansea -2 pts
2. 83 min? goal for Man City -2 pts
3. Very late goal for saints -1 pts
4. Very, very late goal for liverpool -1 pts
5. Late goal for Hull -1 pts
6. 85 min missed penalty by Charlie vs. Hull -1 pts

Plus few matches which we losed after 75 min or so...

Positive turning points:

1. 88 min winner by Charlie vs. WBA +2 pts

So its -6 pts in late turning points for/from us......

Then the numerous horrendous defensive errors during
the whole season which have cost us at least 8-10 points. Those just
to add to those matches above. All these are of course partly fault of
the worst manager pair of the premier league and their tactical "wisdom"

That's for sure! Shame though because for the short time he was with us he was a real class act on the pitch. Truth is all of these champions league teams need a big squad and can pay the wages for players to sit on the bench.

You make a valid point,Swords.
I guess I'm frustrated that Harry never seemed to admit any fault and continually blamed all and sundry.
When it came time to depart, there seemed little remorse for the club.
Would it be fair to say that Harrys comment, "that he wanted to stay in football" express his feelings in a hidden way ...... that he was pushed rather than walked?
