Dorrans best game yet, definitely. Seems to be getting up to speed with the rest of the squad. Personally I would have taken Johnson off for Hoops. Wasn't his best game yesterday and Dorrans just provides that little bit more trickery and Derby weren't exactly testing us going the other way. Not a major gripe though and I understand it's hard to pull Johnson off when he's been so good this season. He might have come up with another thunder bolt, in the end he missed a good chance. IT's all swings and roundabouts really.

On the Ruddy incident, if you look at Hendrick very closely, he does have his left arm across his chest and that hand on top of Ruddy's. For me still Ruddy should be stronger and probably shouldn't be bothering with getting that close to Hendrick but you can see why he fumbled the ball. The fact he only protested slightly to the ref suggests he was embarrassed by the whole thing and he probably didn't really think it was a good enough excuse. Johnson's look on the Ruddy close up after the goal is brilliant though. Sheer disgust!

Yes, JR should have done better with the incident, but I sit in the N&P and Johnson should have taken his time when clean through on goal and tapped in the winner in extra time instead f trying to break the net!!!!
As AN said, we had at least 3 chances to atone for the 'error'. <ok>

I actually completely missed the Johnson miss even with my combination of RN and the stream I was watching. It wasn't in the highlights either, was it?

here's a better view of the Ruddy incident - one word, cynical!

I can now see why he was so gutted when I spoke to him.

It looked bad enough from the original clip but that is just ridiculous. Would like to see what view the ref and linesman had of it. The lino on the right side is likely to have had quite a clear view of it, although some distance away.

I cam imagine had Ruddy pushed him, to get his arm free, a penalty would have been awarded.

Yes Thai, you're absolutely right and I'm sure the lino on the Jarrold side should have have seen the foul on Ruddy. <ok>.

That's despicably poor officialdom. As said above, any slight touch from Ruddy on the cheating Derby ****er would have resulted in a penalty, so how did the ref or lino not spot and penalise the holding of the 'keepr's arm <grr> Shoddy performance from the officials. Yet another case for video assistance, as that would clearly have been disallowed upon review.

I said in the build up to the game that I hoped the result would be fair and not down to dodgy refereeing etc!! Whilst I agree it was, we could and should have scored at least one more goal and then we wouldn't be having this discussion

Not at all Rick. 9 games to go, still effectively in our hands.

I shall defend the officials here because I myself was very near the incident and failed to spot any wrong doing. The linesman a view would certainly have been obscured behind Ruddy. Not sure of Probert's positioning but even on the regular tv replays it looked very innocuous. It was a sly move by Hendricks and unfortunately for us not spotted. The only angle which confirms a foul was behind the goal - there were no officials positioned there!

Surprised to read that, I thought it was blindingly obvious. Then again, it was all I was watching out for.

Just goes to show how hard it is to get all the decisions right.

Complete exoneration for Ruddy. He must have been shocked there was no whistle.

Is this the equivalent of a professional foul? Should be banned surely?

You'd never catch a player of Grant Holt's integrity doing stuff like that <whistle>

I'd like someone to show that clip to Lee Probert and ask him his opinion of it!

Yes, 'an auto spot is going to be very difficult after today's results' was a bit strong, when 'more difficult' would have been closer to the mark, Thurnby. I do think we still have a reasonable chance, but that will depend on how the next two matches go for us and the others above us.
