Yeah, I hear ya. Especially as I think Ramires (who I usually don't like) had a big positive impact for them.
We can't speculate on what may have happened. I'm very happy to take a point away from Stamford Bridge thank you very much.
me too, sounds like you are happier taking a point and backing the ref on the wrong decision, than winning all three dare you to say it Tom..."The ref got it wrong"
I'm just saying it's not a glaring error. It's one of those where he could have gone and Chelsea couldn't have complained but also we can't have too many issues about him not showing the second yellow.
only because you are a ref and stick up for them. Clear yellow. No doubt. He new what he was doing to stop the break away.
I have a simple rule...I try to set people right once, then give up. I am perfectly happy to be the only person to know I am right.
Atkinson learnt his lesson from the Chelsea-Burnley game. Gave a penalty correctly and rightly sent off Coloccini for a bad tackle.
Yes it was. What's the point in lying? Anyone that knows anything about football knows Matic should have been off today. Mourinho subbing him off after 53 minutes says it all.
Are you taking the piss? He hacked down Mane as he was about to pull the trigger on the first yellow. A super strict ref is capable of giving a red for that for denying a goal scoring opportunity, yet you think it's borderline..
He is about to shoot and is well inside the box. Matic desperately lunging like that in sums up the danger. It could have been classed as a goal scoring opportunity. It's not clear cut, so a yellow is understandable. But a strict ref is capable of pulling a red out there. It's certainly not a borderline yellow is it.
No player was in a position to block a shot. He only has the keeper to beat, but it needs to be an accurate shot from that angle. There was a good chance he could have found Long for a tap in also. Look at it again. http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2015/...-2015-highlights-1-1-costa-tadic-goals-video/ 1:07, 2nd video
Under what ruling would you give that a yellow card? It has to be clear cut all four D's for the DOGSO red. And if it's not clear cut it's not a cardable offense. There is technically no such thing as a yellow for a borderline DOGSO. If that tackle doesn't happen in the penalty box would it warrant a yellow card for being dangerous, reckless, or otherwise "unsporting?" IMO, no.
So you are all still arguing. Pundits on MOTD2 think the Mane incident wasn't a pen (in contrast to Sky pundits), though they did think Matic should have been sent off. So much for the use of video evidence clearing up decisions during a match.
