I have bored the pants off you lot for weeks leading up to this day and what a great days racing it is after todays modest fare. A classy looking Triumph, an intrigueing Gold Cup, a wide open Foxhunter and then the final Festival ride of the greatest jump jockey we have ever seen! Good luck AP.

1:30 BELTOR of course. Tipped him on his debut, tipped him on his second outing and tipped him for this when he was 50-1. He showed pure class at Kempton, he pulled the jockeys arms out for 14 furlongs and then when he gave him an inch of rein he eased his way clear from a very good field. The strong pace tomorrow will suit him even better, the rain will not inconvenience him and he will outrun them up the hill. I am super confident about this fella tomorrow. Its an immense day for a small yard like this but the run of Modus in the bumper showed that they are up to it! I am sure you will all be delighted for me WHEN he wins!
2:05 Two horses have profiles that interest me for this so I shall have a bit on both. MODEM ran a belter in the BoyleSports and has an obvious chance at what looks to me to be generous odds. FORCED FAMILY FUN (50-1) is worth an ew saver after a fair performance in the Betfair Hurdle where he would have been closer but for a mistake at a crucial stage.
2:40 VALUE AT RISK I know the owner as he had a horse at Longsdons and this gorgeous beast was bred by him. He has always had stayer stamped on his backside and whilst this wasn't the first choice of race at the start of the year it has become apparent that he needs a trip. He travels beautifully through his race, he has an engine and the heart to go with it. He is going to be a top class chaser in time, mark my words but for now I hope he can get a Festival Hurdle win under his belt.
3:20 I hope for my good friend that DJAKADAM wins this, if he does maybe he can buy some decent racing clobber!
4:00 Wow what a Foxhunter, it has everything. Quality Irish runners, quality UK pro trained horses and an incredibly good couple of Amateur trained horses. I am amazed at how good CURRENT EVENT has become, who would have ever thought that Mrs Rose Loxton could do a better job than Paul Nicholls! I think this is going to be a classic with four or five of the leading protagonists fighting out the finish.
4:40 NOBLE ENDEAVOUR, very keen on this Gordon Elliott 20-1 shot. A cosy winner over this trip at Punchestown in January they then put him away for this. I will be surprised if he isn't in the shake up.
5;15 and enter stage right Anthony Peter McCoy. If there is any justice in this game he will win this race on NED BUNTLINE and there will surely not be a dry eye in the house. The horse has had the classic prep and he could not be in better hands. I am sure Tony Martin will barely turn a hair if he is the one to spoil the party and for me his TED VEALE could provide the sternest opposition.

Guys, I would just like to say that I have had a brilliant Festival. I have loved hearing about all your successes. I hope I didn't put any of you off anything that you fancied.

Good luck to you all again as always tomorrow!

12 mm predicted Oddy. Tough horses needed if that does happen.

Stick, that Foxhunters could turn into a proper minefield if it comes up soft, not many mudlarks in it!

Stick I think you mean Modem in the County Hurdle, not MODUS? I was fancing him for this too but 141 seems pretty steep to me. They have put the first time cheek pieces on and if he takes to the course he could go really well, but I just think141 (when he ran off 122 in the Boylesports) is a bloody big ask. Violet Dance is raised 9lbs to the same mark but was a very impressive winner of the Betfair Hurdle off 132.

The Triumph is certainly intriguing - and Hendo could well have the first three home. I'm loving Beltor, but Peace & Co looks a star in the making. I know people don't like backing short(ish) favs in this race, but sometimes they are short with good cause.

I have some AP vouchers still live for tomorrow - best of which is Coneygree at 20's and 12's. He looks a serious horse to me, and I don't buy into this novice thing - they are either good enough or they ain't. And I think he IS good enough. I also have Lord Windermere at a still available 14-1
One ap bet that needn't have been placed, but ho-hum, is Carningli at 100-1 and is still 100-1 :)

Along with Carningli, I have Tea for Two at a tasty 33-1 ew, two in the Pipe race - both Pipe Jr's runners Vueax Lion Rouge at 18-1 and Balgarry at 25-1 (he MUST win it one day!) In the McCoy race I'm liking Next Sensation at a useful 14-1

But best of all - Salsify in the Foxhunters. A dual winner of this previously, his recent spin after over 400 days off should have him spot on for this and 10-1 is an each way MUST bet :)

If the forecast rain comes and it turns soft than Paint The Clouds is totally ****ed and my NAP of the festival and by a country mile my largest antepost bet goes down the toilet. Praying its not as bad as reported!!!

Surely if it rains Silv Conti has no chance of winning, he needs a steady pace on good ground to see out the trip!

5mm to 12mm. Claisse says 5mm will leave it good to soft. 12mm leaves is soft.

Got MODUS on the brain mate. You have to decide who has the better horses in each sphere odddy, that's why I picked one from each race ;-)

So with that in mind (altho I have had a decent ticket wth Road To Riches on for a long time) I am putting up Sam Winner - 33/1, Imo the forgotten horse of the race- has been improving all season with out putting the best of runs together but he has more importantnly C&D form when beating the Druids Nephew by 1 1/2L when carrying top weight and giving him 6lbs too and also having todays winner the Package behing him too. He then went to Aintree and yes it was bit of a joke race having a good few jumps missed coz of the low sun again having Ma Filleule (who ran a stormer for most the race today) behind him in 3rd again giving weight away to her too. He then went to Leopards town going off 7/1 with a couple of these behind him in the betting too and ran a very respectable 3rd again having some of this field behind him. In that race he travelled ok had to be bumped along at points but was always up there and there abouts, even after a bit of a guess jump after the 7th- from 4 out he was leading and it wasn't tillrun in that when Road To Riches quickend he was beaten. But he battled and was very hard to pass. He didn't slow down he just kept in the same gear. But he had 3 races in the space of about 6 weeks, which may have had its toll at the end of that race. He has been freshened up since that Lexus run and hes won on good ground and soft, hes a guaranteed stayed (unlike his stablemate) and his run in the Lexus reminds me a bit of Lord Winderemeres last year. Currently still available @ 33/1 he is a cracking ew price, he is a progressive horse and can see him coming on for that Lexus run which will put him bang in the frame and cannot believe he is the price he is.

I might do a little rain dance, then get on Many Clouds. GC conundrum thus solved by the weather.

    It's Friday the 13th :)

No More Heroes been one I've been banging on about all year. He WILL win the Albert Bartlett :)

I've loved Road to Riches all year and think he's overpriced for the GC, (12s now is bigger than what I backed him antepost lol) but this chat of rain ain't what he wants. Hopefully it won't be too bad, if its not I think he'll go very ****ing close. Djakadam is my other antepost backed prior to his Hennessey flop. Opposite to RTR in that he's now underpriced and liking the rain. Who knows, form aint much but he's unexposed at the trip, only 6 and improving and he's trained by a master. Flying at home, let's see. Sickbag Conti- can't have him up the hill. 2 horses this week I thought would both need the oxygen mask up the hill were Vibrato Valtat and the hugely overhyped Kings Palace. Both folded like cheap suits up that hill and Conti will too. Don't waste your money lads. Many Clouds and Coneygree both liking the rain and both will run huge races I'm sure.

This is the day i have been waiting for all festival. Always been more confident of my selections on this day than any other (good job really since i have been terrible on the other days <laugh>)

1.30 Peace And Co - This guy looks special to me. I can see him pulverising this lot and winning similarly to the way Our Conor did a couple of years back
2.05 Max Dynamite - Think this one is better than this mark and has a bit of quality. Carries a nice weight and i expect him to go very close
2.40 Blaklion - Form has been franked and has impressed me all season. Race should be run to suit and i think he is overpriced
3.20 Bobs Worth - Massively overpriced. Doubts about all the others and if there isnt too much rain i think he has a chance
4.00 Paint The Clouds - Has looked good on previous starts and has the best jockey on board out of this lot.
4.40 Roi Des Francs - Connections know how to win this race, improving and won't be found out for stamina
5.15 Ned Buntline - Quirky character but has the right guy on board. Can't help but think its written in the stars. Just a shame he will be unbackable at his likely price.

Good luck all and enjoy the last day of the festival. Remember, its not long till Aintree and then only 365 more days until next years festival!!

No more heros - agree with Beef and backing him in bits since news of bad scope
Conygree - was with Road to Riches until the rain which is looking fairly substantial
Salisfy - Had been including Paint the Clouds and again the rain has put me off - should have looked at the forecast before putting it in tipping comp
Rich Coast - failed with Meade today so why not go for his second string in this
    TedVeale in the last

Off to Fakenham tomorrow, had a great tip off Smokey at Towcester yesterday so if he or anyone else has anything would be gratefully received.

    My picks today are

    1.30 Peace And Co
    2.40 Martello Tower
    3.20 Many Clouds

I'm hoping it rains a lot, as my selections have strong soft ground form. Many Clouds in particular will need it the most
