Or what the script writers put on the autocue for him to say. Most of their amazing dangerous stunts are done in a studio with green screen backgrounds.
This is pretty much exactly how I see. Clarkson is a bit of Neanderthal who speaks his mind and doesn't pull any punches. Whether he stays or goes doesn't really bother me, but he seems to be mostly tongue in cheek with his comments and I'll admit to having said those sort of things, as jokes, among my friends.
Black people find the word ****** offensive if white people use it , you can't really argue against that unless you are black. To do this on TV with an audience of 5 million people would offend many people. Why the production staff and camera crew co stars etc didn't point this out? is just as bad as Clarkson saying the lines .
If he came out and was aggressively being a racist then I would agree with you and I wouldn't be here defending him. I do have a dark sense of humour and he does make me laugh, but it doesn't make me a racist or sexiest because I find him funny. Someone I work with who is black was talking to a white person who were clearly joking around with each other and someone overheard, got offended and reported him. He wasn't offended and just laughed it off, so I do think people can take it the wrong way.
He said it as part of the tv show and it would offend many people, we know that this word is not acceptable.
Hang on, you started this by saying that he was not a racist - if you look back I never said that he was, so I am not sure what you want me to say. I called him a nasty tw*t which is not the same thing.
It's still watched by millions and makes a good profit, so if it really did offend a lot of people then Top Gear would have been cancelled a long time ago.
By he way Drunky I have been to many comedy shows including Bernard Manning and am certainly not easily offended. Manning was hilarious and insulted everyone which in my book is fair game.
'Oh so you have that on good authority do you' I took that sentence the wrong way then, sorry. I thought you were implying he was. I still believe he isn't a racist but accept he tells jokes that can offend people. But if people don't like him then fair enough, I'm not here trying to change anyone's mind.
