His actions strongly suggest he is racist.
I guess you could make the argument that saying racist things is not the same as being racist but for me its a pretty pointless and flimsy distinction.

Or what the script writers put on the autocue for him to say.I cannot deny I find him funny at times, it's clearly tongue in cheek and not to be taken seriously.
I don't agree with what he says but I do like to watch people who say what they want.

Most of their amazing dangerous stunts are done in a studio with green screen backgrounds.

If he came out and was aggressively being a racist then I would agree with you and I wouldn't be here defending him. I do have a dark sense of humour and he does make me laugh, but it doesn't make me a racist or sexiest because I find him funny. His actions strongly suggest he is racist.

He said it as part of the tv show and it would offend many people, we know that this word is not acceptable. If he came out and was aggressively being a racist then I would agree with you and I wouldn't be here defending him. Someone I work with who is black was talking to a white person who were clearly joking around with each other and someone overheard, got offended and reported him. He wasn't offended and just laughed it off, so I do think people can take it the wrong way.

Hang on, you started this by saying that he was not a racist - if you look back I never said that he was, so I am not sure what you want me to say. I called him a nasty tw*t which is not the same thing. And you have on good authority he is? I personally don't know the guy so I can't say either way and I don't dare to brand any person I don't know something awful. The Argentine incident could have been a stunt or not, I probably wouldn't even notice if no one pointed out the number plate.
He's sense of humour may not be to everyone's cup of tea, and he might make some borderline jokes but again imo it doesn't make someone a racist. But I know in this day and age people are more easily offended and sensitive, so this kind of thing isn't really acceptable anymore. Top Gear is a popular show though, I can't see BBC risk potentially losing a lot of money in which the show earns. They could get new presenters but it wouldn't be the same.
It means he offends black people on purpose. That doesn't make him racist.
It's still watched by millions and makes a good profit, so if it really did offend a lot of people then Top Gear would have been cancelled a long time ago.He said it as part of the tv show and it would offend many people, we know that this word is not acceptable.

By he way Drunky I have been to many comedy shows including Bernard Manning and am certainly not easily offended. Manning was hilarious and insulted everyone which in my book is fair game.If he came out and was aggressively being a racist then I would agree with you and I wouldn't be here defending him. That is a bit thin Carrabuh! Even for you. Were there black people present when he said this?
'Oh so you have that on good authority do you' I took that sentence the wrong way then, sorry. I thought you were implying he was.Hang on, you started this by saying that he was not a racist - if you look back I never said that he was, so I am not sure what you want me to say.
