The worst day of the festival I think? But here is my two cents. 1.30 Vautour 2/1 (NAP) (Have Apache @16/1 antepost) 2.05 Edeyami 8/1 2.40 Don Cossack 7/2 (NB) 3.20 Monksland 16/1 4.00 Rajdani Express 12/1 4.40 Champagne James 8/1 best of luck.
Thursday's lucky 15. 1-30.Ptit Zig. 2-40.Ma Filleule. 3-20.Saphir Du Rheu. 4-00.Caid Du Berlais. Good luck to all.
All about the first 3 races on Thursday - Vautour, Edeymi, Don Cossack. Big win trixie (or patent) - whichever the one with 7 bets is
I'm on Edeymi ante post as well chaps but will be backing Pineau and Trustan Times each way as well at 20's and 22's. Also have Vautour as one of my bets of the Festival. Really love Vautour but he has some high quality competition. Ptit Zig fell lto but has looked excellent before that. Apache and Valso have traded blows all season. Apache's form has been franked as well. If i didn't already have money on Vautour i'd probably back Apache Stronghold each way as it's hard to see him out of the three.
Feck me I'm getting all mixed up - not Vautour, Ptit Zig ffs Big balls win bet on Don Cossack, decent throw on Ptit Zig and decent e/w on Edeymi. Also had a sneaky e/w on Sybarite in the pertemps
Only 3 I fancy for tomorrow Vautour Don Cosack Saphir Du Rheu Will also chance my arm at the PP again.
Yes, and I can see it being enjoyed with a few winners. 1.30 Valseur Lido - Jumps well, stays well and I think he will love a fast race on decent ground. Vautour is one to beat but I think he is vulnerable in a properly run race which will test his jumping. 2.05 Dawalan - Toughest race of the day to be confident about, but he ran a brilliant trial at Musselburgh and I think he will prefer Cheltenham and I can see him battling well up the hill. Geraghty on is a bonus. 2.40 Taquin Du Seuil - Won at the festival last season, ran a better race last time out before not getting home, and this should suit him much better 3.20 Un Temps Pour Tout - NAP - Really rated his return run, and I think he will improve here and I can see him taking this open looking race. 4.00 Buywise - if he jumps properly then he is a very well handicapped horse and I have to risk that Maloney can produce him at his fences nicely and get a good tune out of him. Attaglance is a second selection as he deserves to win after last years shocking ride. 4.40 Tap Night - Cliff horse for me. I am sure that he is well handicapped but he seems to find a way of throwing away his races. If he gets into a proper rhythm then he can go and win a race of this nature. Its a massive if!! Grand Vision is a second horse who I really like.
Thursday always seems to be bob! Tuesday champion hurdle Wednesday ladies day Thursday paddy day friday gold cup
I may get slaughtered for this but.......what a poor days racing at the Festival tomorrow! A sub standard Ryanair and an equally sub standard World Hurdle. If you are in front after two days, do not give it back tomorrow! My fancies; 1:30 VAUTOUR as preview 2:05 CLOSING CEREMONY as I got my wish and McLernon rides. My nagging doubt is that the yard have not had a winner in the last fortnight. Older horses have an outstanding record in the Pertemps btw, I just cant find one I fancy. My cliff horse REGAL ENCORE could barely have been any more impressive at Exeter last time. Having broken his handicap duck you can easily see him going on a little run. 2:40 Its a poor Ryanair, it really is. So JOHNS SPIRIT as preview but a little mention for the horse they love to write off, WISHFULL THINKING. If this was a handicap he would be carrying top weight, he has excellent form at the track and has proven his wellbeing despite his age in two very high profile wins this season. At 25-1 he screams saver to me! 3:20 LIUETENANT COLONEL as preview, nothing in the race has the greatest profile and this fella could still be anything. 4:00 MONETAIRE ticks pretty much every box and looks a worthy fav. If CHAMPION COURT ran anywhere near his best he would be thrown in, big IF. 4:40 VINTAGE STAR, looks like a horse that has been saved for the race to me and his owner has a really good record in the race, plotted up! Good luck tomorrow guys, you are gonna need it. Back to work for me sadly :-(
I backed Un temps pour tout lto and Saphir Du Rheu won, tomorrow I back SDR and what's the odds UTPT wins
Vautour. Need him to land a very tasty 209/1 treble And before any nob head accuses me of after timing check the antepost thread lol Can't work out the Ryanair. Tempted to try Un Temp pour Tout in WH. Tricky day. About from Vautour, hard to be too confident, and even in thatI could see the angle that Apache Stronghold e/w looks the bet of the day
