Martinez has had a good managerial career so far, he won league one with Swansea, kept Wigan in the premiership three years running and won the FA Cup, moved to Everton and seemed to make good signings, played good football and seriously challenged for a CL place in his first season. This time around he has obviously failed in the league to capture anywhere near the levels of last season but does still have the opportunity to go on a good run in the Europa league. For a club like Everton reaching the semi final for example would be a good achievement.

I think if he has a good enough run in Europe this time around then he will have shown enough over the last few seasons to warrant getting another season to see if he can perform. I don't think he's ready for a job at one of the very top clubs yet but Everton is about the level he should be at given his previous career to date and he should be given the chance to see if he can adapt and become a long term manager there.

Well first mistake is to prompt Google into giving the answer you would like.......I clicked your link, the first artical - deemed most accurate from Google gives no link to a £4m fee for Galloway<laugh>

When someone's totting up how much a manager spent, the usual thing to do, if the fee isn't listed, is to go to what was being talked about at the time, hence the links given - of course we don't actually know - in fact most of what we talk about on forums like this is paper talk, it's how we get all our information [unless you're RHC who does have a mate ITK] <ok>
 
Anyone who seriously thinks we paid £4m for Galloway has got rocks in their head.

The fee might touch that but I'd imagine he'd have to captain England first ffs

I understand your logic behind that, but unless its a published fee then what you or I post (astro included) is nads.

Hey you made the original claim "they gave them man money to spend and he has spent well".

How can you judge that unless YOU know what he spent? <ok>

The amount is relative you flute, what ultimately matters is who he's spent it on.

Out of all of his signings so far only Alcaraz is a complete horror.
