Only Watford anywhere near us and they are conceding goals at an alarming rate.

I know what you mean SN, but I hope they don't, just for the shameful way they've treated Warburton!
Very odd situation Dave , the guy is so professional that he is carrying on as usual even though he is getting fired at the end of the season.
My take on it is the owners are copying a formula called "powerball" used in America in baseball and other sports franchises where everything evolves around stats of players.
This clashes with the managers principles and they can't find common ground .
I can't help but think Brentford would reconsider and keep Warburton on if they get promoted or he would walk into a bigger job .
People have been writing them off all season and they proved that they can cut it with the best, they outclassed us for a start.

Mind what gap? [HASHTAG]#Ncfc[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#PrideOfEastAnglia[/HASHTAG]

He's The Man <ok>

Brentford's "Moneyball" project is really interesting, the guy behind it has made his money from using statistics and algorithms to rip off bookies, and has already trialled his approach in Scandinavia, with reasonable success.

The other club also assess when to sack a manager on a rather untraditional set of criteria, which in theory lends itself to fewer management changes. If the same ethos has been wholly implemented at Brentford, it would suggest a personality clash rather than because they feel he is underperforming

Warbuton said it was a difference of footballing opinions. I don't think he really likes the owners method and so they agreed they'd part company.

Bracing myself for Canary Call! <laugh> Both Wolves and Watford had players sent off in injury time. :cheesy:

Just seen the Wolves sending off, Forestieri throws himself to the ground pretending he's been hit in the face, and the ref buys it. Wolves should 100% get that card rescinded, and hopefully Forestieri will be hit with disciplinary action.

If they go up people will start taking notice of this "moneyball" approach with the amounts envolved for promotion.

Warburton said it was the stats direction the club wanted to go in. He didn't and has been quite amicable about it.

I understand the stats have a strong influence to pick the players to sign.
