Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal: "I think we have dominated for 90 minutes, maybe our best match of the season, especially in an away match we deserved the victory.

"We didn't reward ourselves in the first half. It was a narrow escape because our rivals have won also so it's a rat race.

"We have created a lot of chances and could have scored much earlier. They also made two big chances and I think David de Gea rescued us at that time.

"It was a crazy run from Wayne Rooney, a lost ball, that shows the fighting spirit in this team. We want to win. All my changes were to win, not to hold the result."

He should be gone already mate...

Can't see him going before the end of the season unless you get properly sucked into the relegation battle (as plenty have said, none of the bottom teams really look like they're about to save themselves). Do you think he'll be gone before August, or do you think he'll get a chance next season?

Cisse AND Evans - watch the press go for the former and excuse the utd player. And watch David Cameron not say something about this, for once, as it doesn't involve Suarez.

Big Miss Henderson was for you guys last season, Big miss Evans would be for us aswell [HASHTAG]#BanEvans[/HASHTAG]

Do you think it's just down to him though?

Howard looks terrible. Lukaku has hit no sort of form, Barkley like wise. Martinez tried to stop the rot by concentrating at defending and your still conceding.
Lukaku Is struggling as we are no longer playing to suit his style and sometimes we start with 3 defensive mids lol we did more tonight In the first 5 mins of Osman coming on than we did In the previous hour lol

Was trying to watch the 'Pool game on my computer, but from what I saw they were fecking awful, reprieved only by the fact that Newcastle were worse and never got a decision all night.

Probably was your best performance of the season though.

Yeh If we manage to stay slightly better than QPR, Leicester and Burnley (What aspirations eh lol)

To be honest as bad as It sounds I don't want to go any further In the Europey as I think that's his stay of execution I'd rather get stuffed In that and for the board to smell the coffee and get him the furrk out :emoticon-0130-devil

Personally he shouldn't be at EFC next season..

What do you think the difference has been in Europe? Teams like Wolfsburg and Young Boys are decent teams and you've looked very comfortable against them. And what's to say you can't replicate that in the league again next year?

Took a quick look at positions 3 through 7 and how many times they have to play a top 7 team in the final games of the season.

They all have 3 "top games" left. Except for United who have 5 "top games left".

Looks like United have a slightly tougher end t o the season than everyone else (although most of those will be home games for them).

Very real possibility that March 22nd game will be for position against them with the winner moving up to 4th (or 3rd).

Disappointed for Martinez. Always rated him. You'll never go down this season as there's four or five teams worse than you. Assuming this is Bobby's last season, then who next?

I would say I rate Bilic, but that's probably cursing the poor ****er.

Even then, who would replace him?
