I would add that his Ipswich "fans" are doing him no favours by encouraging him to carry on!
I would probably agree with this.

Sadly he is going to get ridiculed by some very stupid people. You're right it's freedom of speech. Personally I wouldn't say stuff like that.
I even had a right row on the train with some drunk Ipswich fans who thought the Fashanu song was cool. It's not, no way would I join in with crap like that!
He's going to carry on with or without encouragement, I think that's quite obvious. He loves it!
I was not very amused with them.
One " fan / human " even said they'd be embarrassed if someone like that supported Norwich - you sir are a class a **** and I'm glad you don't support Ipswich that's for sure.
I embrace any fans supporting us. I doubt you'd say anything like that away from a computer...........
I'm philosophically agin the principle of bans. It's true that JWM can get a bit hot under the collar at times, but in truth he is easy enough to deal with due to his limited intellectual capacity. You know that in the end he will make a fool of himself if he continues any kind of discourse beyond his personal red line, which is about the level of a Sun editorial. As for Ipswich Crazy he's just an old style Suffolk jostler. You could probably have enough of the lad given time but he has a certain Je ne ce quais, but I don't know what it is.
For those that are wondering about the temporary banning, one of the alternatives we came up with was the possibility of having all our matchday threads 'passworded' so that there would be no wumming involved.
Now if anyone would care to have a work with the site owner Mick, to see if that is possible, and then implement it, I will cheerfully thrott...erm I mean unband the Ipswich 2.

Talk about deja vu, when several Norwich posters asked me to ban Guru a year or so back, I banned him from our board only and suffered a backlash from several Canaries saying I shouldn't have banned him!
Just lately the two usual suspects have infested and derailed almost every thread on our board, with JWM in particular descending into vile personal abuse on several occasions! The matter was brought to our attention, and after a group discussion it was agreed, by a majority decision, to ban them for three weeks to mull over their behaviour, and if it continued on their return, the ban would be made permanent!
Lo and behold, we immediately get Canaries complaining with no support from those that requested it, sorry Rob, I understand you have spoken in our favour, even though you were not one of those requesting the ban!
I'm speechless!
Like many of those posting I am currently overseas - Tajikistan at the moment for my sins. Reading posts is a great way of keeping up with developments at the club from a fan's perspective eg looking at the stats during the crash under NA gave no indication of the problems with the team that was regularly highlighted. When every thread was high-jacked it became tedious reading. Happy for reasonable banter but they produce SPAM not banter or insight.Talk about deja vu, when several Norwich posters asked me to ban Guru a year or so back, I banned him from our board only and suffered a backlash from several Canaries saying I shouldn't have banned him!

As the person who normally composes these Resurgam, I wouldn't be in favour of this as I generally post links on Twitter to my threads encouraging people to join the forum and participate. Whether we have a few more lurkers now because of that I really don't know, but as I say I wouldn't want my threads to be pass-worded if it was down to me
Edit:- tomorrow's match thread should be up and running later tonight
What's the password?

I love Millwall more than I do Leeds.
This has to be said very loudly and has to be your new user name for at least 3 seasons, for the you to access the threads Chippy![]()

A majority decision of 3? How many people actually asked them to be banned?
This is what annoys me a bit, just because others don't send you messages to you to say they do not believe in banning then you do not get a complete view.
You mods get your fingers burned everytime you do this, just leave the forum alone. People have the ignore option if they want, but those that do miss out as far as I'm concerned.
We know your views carrabuh, you have told us many times, but we are not prepared to keep losing good posters because they are being put off the site by 90% of posts on this board are from the two usual suspects on a wumming spree!
Like who?
