Brown is currently suspended and unless you win the appeal before tuesday he isnt going to feature. The ref said it wasnt mistaken identity so you probably will not win the appeal so your starting 11 needs adjustment.

I can't imagine the FA could rescind it without also suspending O'Shea instead. But you never know...

We've appealed. Have you seen the incident? It will be rescinded. The foul was committed by O'Shea(hand on Shoulder pulling Falcao back) He'll be playing.

The ref says that he saw the incident correctly and that the foul called was not mistaken identity. It doesnt matter what I saw what matters is what the FA can do about it. Chances are it will not be rescinded as the ref says what Brown did was a red card. This is the FA we are talking about after all.

We hope so mate.
The 4-4-2 you named doesnt look a bad side to be fair.

The news is saying they can not suspend O'Shea as the ref said that what O'Shea did was not a foul but what Brown did was so its impossible to transfer the suspension.

But It was O'Shea who fouled him not Brown, it will be rescinded and all the ref saying that he saw it will do is save JoS from retrospective actions as the FA can't do anything.

The ref said he saw the incident so no action can be taken against O'Shea. We can appeal the red as Brown didn't foul him, O'Shea did. But now O'Shea is protected by the rules so both should feature. Ref has made a right hash of it. Saying that he saw it when he clearly didn't works in our favor.

Its what the ref says that matters. This comes up all the time a ref says he gives a foul for a reason or doesnt then people try and apply reason and rational thinking to what should happen(like what you are doing now). This is just like that horrid tackle in that Chelsea game recently, the ref says he saw it and thats the end of it. There is nothign the FA can do about it. The ref says he saw it correctly and what happened was a red card offense, the video is not the issue unless it turns out that the player in question is on the other side of the pitch. The decision will stand.

You're wrong mate. Any straight red can be appealed regardless of the ref seeing it or not, there's a system in place and has been for many years. The Ref claiming he saw an incident prevents the fa from taking retrospective action outside the red card appeal system therefore protecting O'Shea. Almighty cock up which will see us lucky

Yes it can be appealed but the question is if it will be rescinded and the ref saying he saw the play correctly does make a difference. I really think you are being a little to cocky about the FA making a correct decision when it comes to a Red Card appeal.

Personally I hope you do win the appeal because nothing is more comical than a Wes Brown O'Shea paring with what happened there as evidence of it.

I think you're right.

Was it a goal scoring opportunity? Because it looks more like a yellow for O'Shay anyway.

But the ref didn't see it correctly. I've not read anyone who thinks he has. Pretty simple open and shut case in regards to the red card appeal, the ref said Brown fouled him, when clearly he didn't.

We'll see tomorrow anyway fella.

Certainly no one thinks he saw it correctly. I think its obvious that the ref is a giant idiot who is trying to protect himself. The FA's rullings on these things seem to be all over the place so I just dont think its as open and shut as it should be. I do agree it wasnt a foul at all.

The ref says he was fouled the process of shooting which is why it was a straight red.

I know he did, doesn't mean he right though did he. Just because a ref thinks he's right doesn't mean he's right and doesn't mean the FA will automatically back him, if that were the case there'd be no appeal system as it would be pointless.

And I can only assume the FA will see the same thing everyone else has seen, football fans and professionals alike, and rescind it.

I was talking about O'Shea as the real foul was from O'Shea and the shooter was in the process of shooting just like you said. The ref got it all wrong, but we both agreed on this point. It was a straight red but he got the guilty party all wrong.

I'm no expert, but as the ref saw the incident at the time, I don't think they can card O'Shea. I think they'll both be available for Tuesday night...and we'll get them both sent off. <ok>

Sunderland need to let us win this one so they can hate on Bruce for another season. I dont think Sunderland will go down even if they lose this game against us.
