Wickham - One of England's brightest prospects bought for half the price of Henderson and a quarter of the price of Carroll - £8 million Ji Dong-won - Up-and-coming Korean international. Boosts profile of club in Korea/Asia and could turn out to be a good player too! - £2 million Gardner - 10 goals from central midfield for a relegated side. I don't really have to say much more. We've needed a goalscoring midfielder for a while and now we have one - £5 million Larsson - Deadly set pieces. Good delivery of the ball. Solid addition to the squad and probable starter - Free Westwood - One of, if not the best goalkeepers in the country outside of the Premiership - Free Brown - 15 years at Man Utd. Won trophies left, right and centre. Invaluable experience. Solid defender - £1 million (newspapers) O'Shea - Same as Brown pretty much. 13 years at Man Utd. Won trophies left right and centre. Invaluable experience. Versatility is unmatched, pretty much anywhere across the defence and midfield and even made an appearance in goal for Man Utd! - £3 million (newspapers) Vaughan - He's virtually signed. Won Blackpool's player of the year award ahead of Charlie Adam who's signed for Liverpool for £9million.....so he's got to be decent! LM or CM option for the squad - Free Elmo - We've seen what he's about. Quick and can beat a man down the line. Amazing in the air! Quite bizarre how he can win the ball literally every single time against the left back. Hopefully he's settled further and can improve - £2.5 million Now if my maths are correct... Wickham Dong-won Gardner Larsson Westwood Brown O'Shea Vaughan Elmo ======== £21.5mil Henderson + £1.5 million ================== £21.5mil ..... Now let's crack open the B£nt warchest and sign a couple of marquee players!! Happy days!! KTF
Some good buys there, if used correctly you could go places this year wish Levy and Rednapp would get off there **se and do something
Or we could give them a jolly good spanking come next season. please log in to view this image Mr SAFC - your analysis is spot on, time to air out the magic carpet
Best Transfer Window....ever? Certainly the busiest. And still expecting a few more. Bruce has added massive strenght in depth, without adding the killer blows which we are still lacking. A striker and a l/w. Get two good aquasitions in these positions, and it's game on. But we have added about £1m a month to our wage bill, and no players going out. This can not be substained. So back to Op, best transfer window ever? may turn out to be, but needs to be balanced out. Still no major names though,
