If it's whistle happy Kevin Friend it'll be the biggest stop start game, with yellow cards and I'll have money we get our first red of the season.

Absolutely hate this " refereree " he is an absolute disgrace. Doesn't understand how to give advantage.

he don't like it when when I'm being a realist

You have to as yourself why then, don't you

Perhaps the crux of the matter is that you are overplaying this "relaxed" attitude towards the game. I doubt that you are fooling anyone on here that you really believe that it is "just another game", and "the only important thing is 3 points".

We all know that should Town win - we will probably suffer the biggest rash on here in years, and everyone in blue will be giving both barrels from the off.

Filched from the EDP website - "Paul Tierney's the ref - same guy who oversaw the Derby 2-2 away game and 3-0 home win v Watford back in August. Stats show he's keen on giving a penalty - 5 in his last 9 games. Doesn't appear a 'soft' ref IMO"

Oh well, that's one excuse out the window then!!!! <ok>

    ?

What a weird response? I was just saying of course we're obsessed with Norwich fans, I'm not sure how that could possibly be construed as me getting upset. You need to calm down mate. It always spirals out of control with you. I've said I'm quite happy for you to take the piss for my signature block if I'm wrong.

Seriously Guru, wrong side of bed this morning?

I was asking why the hell you WEREN'T bigging up Ipswich and why you WEREN'T putting Norwich down. That's what this entire exchange has been about?

Thai hit the nail on the head - we all know you are overplaying this "realist" thing. Your quote about us being finely matched... I don't believe even you think that.

I just don't get why you won't admit it. Even JWM has the stones to.

nah mate, but why when I am being realistic about the match, after Christ knows how many months of you whinging and whining about me wumming and not backing stuff after with facts are you now wanting me to be un realistic and state stuff about facts.

seems to me that you are hell bent on trying to cause aggro.

as keegan said, I would love it to beat you guys, but you are a good side and it will be tough, are we capable? yes most definately, are you capable to beat us? yes most definately. can't see what your issue is expect to cause problems for the mods and this board.

If offered the choice between a guaranteed point or going for glory and 3 points on Sunday I'd take the draw right now, without a doubt.

Sunday will not be easy for us and we'll have done well to get a point. I don't buy into the 'anything can happen on the day' argument either. Anything can happen on the day, but it usually doesn't and the better or in-form team wins, it's not what I would like to base my hopes of an Ipswich win on.

A draw would be a good result for us imo.

No. The reason we ask you for facts is that a lot of the time you seem "hell bent on trying to cause aggro" by completely inventing stuff to get a rise. You love to take to the piss, I get that. But if you're going to take the piss you have to do it on the basis of fact, rather than your spurious inventions which has been your typical resort.

Giving a prediction and being confident about it has nothing to do with being a fact-inventing wum. All I've been asking you is to show a bit of conviction rather than being a snake in the grass and waiting to take the piss when it's a soft target. I have absolutely no problem with the piss being taken out of me when I've said something foolish. It happens. It's fair. I'll laugh at myself for being a dick.

I don't actually have that much of a problem with you other than one key thing - you take yourself way too seriously. You are the first to leap at the easiest opportunity to take the piss (even when you've not had the balls to call it beforehand) and then you run with it ad nauseam. And it's entirely predictable that you will go for the jugular if someone complains you take it too far.

But as soon as someone takes the piss back you lose it like you have done this morning. You claim to love the "banter", but in reality for you it has to be a one-way street. Look no further than how this thread has turned out - you constantly go back to the same whinging and whining about us and come up with lines like "can't see what your issue is expect to cause problems for the mods and this board." It's always someone else's fault with you, isn't it? You always try to blame it on me. Or on the mods. Or whine that you're going to get banned. Whine, moan, bitch, whine. Just laugh at yourself when you've been a prat and take a joke.

If you'd just chill and laugh at yourself when you do something foolish as we all do, it would all be a lot easier.

So I'm done with this conversation. I've said you have my irrevocable permission to take the piss out of me for the comments I've made before the match about my team and that stands. I will take my medicine if needs be (but frankly I'm incredibly confident that it won't). But my god am I going to come down on you like a ton of bricks for your cowardice, politician-like lack of conviction and your whining on this thread. But if we smash you, the quid pro quo is that I'm going to be thrusting my signature block down your throat (probably a week after, I'll be too busy celebrating...) and if you so much as squeak about me taking the piss out of you, just remember what you always whine about, yeah? Collect your toys on the way out mate, they've fallen out of your pram.

You do realise that verbosity bears no relation to taking yourself seriously, right?

Taking yourself seriously is about whether you can laugh at yourself, let people take the piss when you deserve it, etc. The opposite of you.

I just have an issue with saying things in a sensible number of words. I know that. I'm getting help for it. It's a real hindrance.

    Not **** Sherlock! <laugh>

For what it's worth Rob, I do actually enjoy reading some of your "Sunday Times" type of posts. In-depth and have a point to them. Sometimes informative as well, and educational - clearly not written by the average football fan :emoticon-0148-yes:

(That is not to put down all the 'Average' football fans btw)

    Thanks Thai!

Joking aside, I do actually make a conscious effort to cut down my posts when I'm concentrating, but when I'm in a hurry because I can type quickly I get carried away!

yawn, I just find it funny that you accuse somebody of taking themselves too seriously when you posts are like war and peace and the way you bleat on for 99% of the year.

I have made my prediction as I have said about 654 posts ago, I reckon it will be a draw, that doesn't mean I can't take the piss if we beat your load!

I think you need to let it go and give somebody else a chance because all you are doing is side tracking a very good thread.
