That's bollocks; do you know anyone who believes him?
I do, that's why I know he'll never change the crest without consulting supporters first. Afterall he's a Hull City supporter he'd never try to buy Leeds or Sheff Weds. It's Hull City for him, for the importance of Hull City, for Hull and for East Yorkshire.
I understand he's a little miffed right now with the local authority but he'll soon be talking to the Hull City Council again, as he'd welcome any opportunity to speak to them, with open arms.
He wasn't very happy that the FA refused his request to change our 111 year old name & as a result he's been trying to offload the club for a while now, he must be close to giving it away to supporters & local businesses on a 60/40 split, as is his aim. I'm positive he'll be true to his word.
I'm also bubbling with enthusiasm at the idea of watching Al-Ahly play against Hull City. An event that he will stage at his own expense so that all the income from the match can go to helping the people who suffered as a result of the disaster in Egypt. I know that no specific date has been set but it will definitely be before the start of next season.......... again.
Moving forward, once the Court of Arbitration for Sport have sorted this name change fiasco out I'm sure everything will be hunky dory again. If not he will be gone in 24 hours as the man never goes back on his word
Why would anybody not believe him? I just take what he says at face value, it's better than second guessing what the ****er means. We shouldn't be in the position where we require higher expectations of accuracy from what the owner of our club states, should we?
