My thinking is, do you want rabid fans working at the place? Or do you want people who do the job. I'm not saying Blues would be bad at it, but with me you'd have no hassle with me trying to score tickets more than once a year.

I would presume in this case there is a wording around conflict of interest or affiliated in some means to a competitor.

All of which avoids the simple point.

What kind of donk would make a claim based on such a nonsense premise and who in their right mind would take it seriously?

precisely... people do.... this is why people need training in hr and first round interviews are nearly always hr doing them. second rounds really are short lists focused on who can do the job best.

We don't get involved in any interviews here. Have to do some training but most managers have common sense not to ask ridiculous question like are you gay, are you planning on having a baby soon etc.

Like me I said before, even if stupid questions do get recorded on interview notes, what you'll find is that if a request comes in to see them that the evidence will be removed by redoing the notes and just leaving out the but that could lead to a claim.

    So back to the question,

    Q. "In less than 200 words, explain why you would like to work at Everton Football Club?"

    A. Because it's better than signing on, but only just.
