Chelsea to appeal Matic red card. Surely they can't rescind it.

But they may look and see they play us on the third game and thus reduce the ban..... *conspiracy theories rock*

NO ACTION to be taken against Ashley Barnes as it was seen by Martin Atkinson. This is where the rules are ****ed up. The FA should be able to take action regardless.

    *shakes head*

This was a chance for the FA to say, "look, we can't have that in our game - here's a three game ban" .... pitiful excuse of a governing organization.

Shocking decision, I know the rules are rules but surely this would be an exceptional case?

Great Scott, this could be a right Mullarky if Dowd has to give decisions from 50 yards away because he is finding it Lennard to keep up with play :)

Well, Dowd can probably make a better decision 50 yards away than Atkinson can 5 yards away. <doh>

Making an exceptional case to a rule everyone knows leaves you open to be sued.

I thought it was in the rules that under special circumstances they could still take action?

I still find it amusing that Scottish Premier Referees are sponsored by Specsavers!

One paper I picked up yesterday, can't remember which one it was, had graham poll as a referee expert. Put the paper down immidiately, not taking a view from someone who booked someone 3 times before sending them off. Match report of saints game also written by martin samuel, didn't bother with the first line.
