Agreed. A Pelle upgrade should be top priority this summer, along with replacing players we lose.
Not sure if that'll happen though. The downside of all these loan players in the squad is that we have to spend money to stand still.

Of course. But there was an element of luck to that win. Had the ref given the pen, Pelle had taken it and had his confidence boosted, could well have been a different result. On such fine margins....
All I'm saying is that we haven't suddenly become a poor team. We've not had the rub of the green recently and, no, we haven't had the teeth, but that can turn quickly too. Peckers up please!
It will happen (the replacement players that is). We already have players in mind, I just hope we spend a lil extra on a forward.
Oh I'm confident we'll replace players that leave. I was thinking more that the striker may not happen.

Pelle has had some mediocre games recently, but I don't see how he could have changed anything in this one. It's not like he missed a sitter. The service was poor. Elia and Mane both kept bringing the ball inside to Pelle's position so the spacing wasn't good. Remember when we were scoring earlier in the year, we were getting goals from midfielders as well. That has also dried up.
We miss Bertrand, as he was a good crosser and would make a run down the outside when the wingers turned inside. Bertrand and Tadic together on the left might be able to kickstart the offense.
