As I understand it, both Gignac and Ayew are free agents this summer. Marseille have offered them both new contracts (or are in the process of doing so). The problem is that French taxes are so high that it's difficult for them to compete on wages with clubs in other countries, so both will quite possibly look elsewhere i.e. for more money. Call it mercenary if you like, but you can't blame someone for wanting to go somewhere where they earn more.
