He certainly got the tactics for today spot on!!! And what about McNally - we should erect his statue at the entrance to the ground!!
It was supposed to be 44 wins 1 draw and 1 loss (on the basis that we've already lost one and drawn one), but it turns out I can't count!
I will admit I tried very hard to find another scenario to save your blushes, but only one total fitted.
Just seen that since Neil left the Accies, they have lost 6 and drawn 2. Shame as they were very good natured about what is a hard situation and I had hoped they could push on. Does show that Neil seems to give a boost to teams as they had been doing rather well before that.
Paddy at Archant must have been 'burning the midnight oil', as he's turned out several article praising AN today. Here's a link to one of them - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic..._urges_canaries_to_seize_the_moment_1_3966397.
What I like is that Neil is so well grounded. It'd be dangerous to look past Blackburn to the Derby, but he doesn't. Blackburn is the focus, then we can move on to the Derby. Blackburn will tell us much more about how grounded the players are.
We need a convincing team performance at Blackburn and I hope he 'rests' Tettey, as he could collect his 10th yellow and so miss the game on Sunday!!!
It'd be better if he collected his 10th in the Derby or against Wigan, JR. There's also the issue of his knee problem that prevents him from playing 3 matches in a week.
I'd like to see him rested, so he can play in the Derby, as I don't feel we have any one who can cover his role in the team and we need to protect our back 4 as much as possible.
