    I just think they're a bit crap. <laugh>

Watched Platoon last night as I got a bit of a ribbing for going Black Hawk Down as better, Platoon is indeed a good film but my mind remains unchanged.

No way. They're total classics, first and second ones especially. Thought the same a bit tbf, till I started rewatching them.

I'm not a fan at all of the old action films, I don't think they last the test of time.

Ok films I hate that I'll get stick for ........

    Commando
    Predator
    Aliens
    Terminator (all of them)
    Rambo (all of them)
    Mad Max (as discussed)

That's off the top of my head.

What's with all the hate for Mad Max!!! That 2nd one is brilliant. How can you not enjoy seeing that flappy bare arsed mohican batard get smushed on the front of a lorry by his great lunk of a master come the end

So much greatness about that film.

  7. I was perhaps a bit harsh with my comment above. I was only a wee nipper when it came out and it didn't interest me enough to watch it all. Never interested me since either.

The Babadook was really good. 7.2/10

Started season 2 of House of Cards, brilliant start to season 2.

That's actually one of the best films of the last few years imo. Would give it more like an 8.7+ and I tend to be stingy with ratings

Watched Mad Max 3 last night. Really not as good as the first two. The bigger budget distracted them from the story I think. Will be interesting to see what the new one's all about.

The Babadook was a good intelligent horror which is something you don't often see, the main actress was good aswell.

    the oscars...

It seems to me if you play a starving person, anything to do with the holocaust, or someone which a disability you get an oscar.

I do think they re suckers over there for a bit of disability but what i don't get is why the ringer didn't win best movie then?

I haven't seen Birdman but it must be a hell of a film to be better than Whiplash.
