    MATCH PREVIEW
RANGERS are back on the road again this weekend, with a vital Barclays Premier League clash against Hull City at the KC Stadium.

Fresh from clinching their first away win of the campaign at Sunderland ten days ago, Chris Ramsey’s charges will be keen to maintain their positive momentum in Humberside, against a Hull side embroiled in the scrap for survival towards the foot of the table.

Just one point and one place separates the R’s in 17th from the Tigers in 16th, with Rangers knowing victory on their travels this weekend will see them leapfrog Steve Bruce’s side in the table.

Both clubs head into the game on the back of morale-boosting wins against sides towards the foot of the Premier League.

Whilst Rangers were celebrating at the Stadium of Light last Tuesday, Bruce’s side were toasting an equally important triumph at home to Aston Villa, courtesy of goals from front-duo Nikica Jelavic and Dame N’Doye.

That victory was much-needed for Hull, who has previously gone five matches in all competitions without a win.

QPR will be without injured trio Richard Dunne (knee), Nedum Onuoha (hamstring) and Leroy Fer (knee), whilst Mauricio Isla is a doubt.

However, Charlie Austin is back in contention following a recent foot injury.

The Tigers could recall midfielder Mo Diame. The Senegal international has been missing for the last 10 weeks after picking up a knee injury back in December, but is set to return this weekend.

R’s defender, Steven Caulker: “We know the importance of this game this weekend.

“Off the back of the Sunderland win, we hope we can go on a run now.

“With 13 games to go, it’s almost down to the cliché of 13 Cup Finals, but we’ll just continue to take each game as it comes.

“This is a six-pointer and we’ve got to be at full throttle from the outset.”

Hull defender, Michael Dawson: “There are lots of teams in and around us. It is very tight and it’s a big game Saturday.

“It's all about winning our home games. Earlier in the season we were not beating the teams in and around us, especially at home, so we know Saturday is a big one and a chance for us to follow up the Villa win by doing that.

“We looked at the fixtures before the Newcastle game and we knew we had a run coming up against teams in and around us in the table.

“We built the confidence after the Manchester City result and now we have to build on the win against Villa because it is all about winning now.”

That's the Guardian's line up Matt. I couldn't be arsed to do one of those things where I have to keep typing out the players names and place them on the pitch like a 14 yr old kid. You can have a go if you like though .... http://www.footballuser.com/post :emoticon-0136-giggl

Been reading about this fixture all week and Hull have as many issues within their squad as week do if not more.

Predicted a defeat but thinking a draw is definitely possible here, another MOM from Green and we could nick another 3 points.

    Come on U R's

I would do but my keyboard has an intermittent problem with the "a" key.

Choosing between del Trbt and Vrgs doesn't seem worth it.

    Ustin, we have a problem!

(sorry, possibly the worst joke I've ever written)

Nines, the line-up pic from the Daily Mail that you have put up here looks great!

Great midfield ... Henry on the right wing, Kranjcar on the left. Phillips in left middle with Barton to his right.

Interesting to say the least! Nice one DM.

Cheers Nines. Stopped paying attention to away games under Harry, will listen this afternoon and would take a dodgy win like they got at LR !

I wonder how CR feels about 3 at the back? With no recognised right back I wonder if he may play Caulker, Ferdinand and Hill as the three, with SWP and Yun as wing backs?

    C'mon U R's !!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, SWP might actually do a decent job at RB.

Haven't looked forward to going to an away match all season. Until now. I believe that the notion that we can actually achieve something, will enjoy doing it and do not have to play only to contain the opposition has visibly lifted the players. And the fans. +2000 seats sold shows that we too have got our mojo back. Hope we go for it from the off. Whatever happens I doubt whether I will walk away feeling cheated, the way I have done so many times during the last dark 3 years.

We (Hull City) drew with Man City at their place 1 - 1.... put 2 past Villa at home last week with no reply, I dont fancy your chances much.

Looks good to me but would prefer to see if Doughty can be fitted in to the midfield. SWP has a lot to prove and I doubt whether he can deliver. CR does not fear giving youngsters a chance and I doubt whether the few minutes he got at Sunderland was the sum total of that chance. Given that Fer is out for the rest of the season (realistically) I wonder whether this is Taarabt's chance to win a permanent place?

    You may well be right.

The Sunderland fans were on here crowing before our last game too.

Didn't take much to put two past Villa and we should have beaten City rather than give them a draw. As Col says that Smeg-bag from Sunderland was crowing on here...
