Same team. Same subs. McGregor Dawson Bruce Macca Elmo Brady Livermore Hudd Meyler Jelavic N'Doye I'll take a 1-0 but i reckon we're going to stuff em 3 or 4. Going to be a cracking day for football. Be good to see the banner and a full ground. Come on City.
I really hope we win today! We should but a life time supporting City doesn't exactly fill me with confidence when it comes to games we should win. 2-1.
Key match stats (supplied by Opta) Hull City have conceded a Premier League high 11 goals from outside the penalty area this season, while QPR are second having shipped eight. QPR have allowed their opponents 139 shots on target against them, 10 more than any other team in the top flight. In the 44 meetings in all competitions between the Tigers and Rangers, there have been 15 draws, 15 QPR wins and 14 Hull victories. Three of the last four league meetings between Hull and QPR have ended as draws. There have been just five goals in those last four matches between Hull and QPR. Joey Barton is on a Premier League record run of seven consecutive yellow cards. QPR ended a run of seven Premier League matches without a win with victory over Sunderland last time out (D2 L5). That victory also ended a Premier League record run of 11 away defeats since the start of a season. Hull City’s last four Premier League wins have all been by a two-goal margin, three of them with a 2-0 scoreline. The Tigers have won just three of their last 14 Premier League home games (W3 D3 L8). Michael Dawson has blocked on average 1.5 shots per game, a higher rate than any other player in the top flight.
one of the few teams I have an intense dislike for, can't explain it maybe it just the way they throw money around at over the hill players thinking success can be bought rather than earned, they are another Portsmouth's waiting to happen, just hope the we turn up today and put a display on.
I do agree but i remember them as the 70's team they had. Always like Stan Bowles and Rodney, Phil "Cossack" Parkes. Gerry Francis etc
Need a really intense, up an' at' em, in ya face, lay ya cards on the table, show ya intent, start. Two nil up after 10 minutes would be nice. Like the Cup Final.
Hull City riding a wave of optimism, fans excited packed staduim I've seen this before soooo many times. Q dire game settled in the 85th minute by a worldly by a QPR defender who hasn't scored in four years !!! Back to doom and gloom on here tonight. I could be very very wrong !
BBC Lawro v Carl Fogharty Lawro has it like this: Hull v QPR I played with Chris Ramsey at Brighton and I am delighted he has got the QPR job until the end of the season. Ramsey did some great work with Tottenham's younger players during his time there as a coach. He got off to a great start as QPR manager with their long awaited first away win of the season at Sunderland that took them out of the bottom three. Hull also picked up a big victory last time out, beating another struggling side Aston Villa 2-0. That might prove to be the turning point for the Tigers, who have under-achieved this season, and I think they might edge this and climb away from the relegation zone. Lawro's prediction: 2-1 Foggy's prediction: 1-1
We need to get a grip of the midfield, we've surrender the midfield far too easy and that's were our problems start.
I'm expecting a very, very tight game. N'Doye has a huge weight on his shoulders. Our back line is pretty solid though and against a team of low scorers should hold the fort. I expect Elmo to have a field day as he is at his best when he knows that he has the measure of his marker - and he should be in command here. Against the odds I expect QPR to score (probably a penalty or an own goal) but I think we have their measure to take this 2-1.
Well I would like to see Robertson back wide midfield, then its a case of Tom Huddlestone please stand up, no excuses, two threats up front, two wide men with pace to hit all day, so it should be the Fulham performance all over again.
Fancy a 3-1 to us. Austin will probably score for the Queens but N'Doye and Jela will carry on as the left off hopefully. As for N'Doye having a huge weight on his shoulders, I personally think he revels in it. His strength and determination and goal threat was excellent against Villa. The Queens are not a good team and we should have more than enough to beat them. 3-1 Jela and 2 for N'Doye.
N'Doye as a late comer to the PL has a point to prove(that he's good enough to play at this level) , I'll think he will be a success and on the plus side, I think it will be the kick up the backside for Abel and will bring the best out of him too.
