Quite a few points picked up from the Liverpool game with a popular 2-1 score line predicted. Not many backed Bradford though with only 2 (IBWT & Dr) going for a Bradford win, neither correctly getting the 2-0 score correct though.

EL game isn't included so next games are Prem only.

Game 1 - Southampton v Liverpool (Sun 4:15pm)
Game 2 - Swansea v Manchester United (Sat 3pm)

Post your scores and 1 LFC scorer. Remember that forwards score 1 point for a goal, midfielders 3 points, defenders/GK/OG 5 points.

Game 1 - Southampton v Liverpool i think saints COULD be up to full strength for this game. they hammered everton at home, beat arsenal at home and drew with chelsea. this game is about who takes their chances so i vote 2-1 loss for lfc and coutinho to bag one late. sorry guys................. southampton have beaten utd away as well and are only one point worse off than us in last 6.... in form so i got with home advantage.... would take a draw if offered kind of thing

Game 2 - Swansea v Manchester United................ this is swansea at home. their record at home is good they lost badly to chelsea and drew with west ham and sunderland. I think this one has draw written all over it and the way swansea usually go hard and fast at teams i think this has draw written all over it. 1-1.

So far Southampton have over achieved while Liverpool have under achieved. To stand a chance of top four finish this season, Liverpool needs a result.
 
Is the maximum score for a round 20...? (correct score = 5pts each x2, defender scoring = 5pts & a hat-trick = bonus 5pts)

Am I right in thinking despite only getting 1pt for a striker scoring, you'd still get the bonus 5pts for the hat-trick...? If so, the realistic best score would be 16pts...?

depends if there are 2 or 4 games being played.... And I can't remember if I said I'd include the hatricks this year (check the first op as it'll b in there). In theory best for an LFC gamee is 10 points, for a non LFC game is 5 so really 15 is the top for 2 games.

Good assessment. are you a bookie ?<yikes> Thinking with the head rather than the heart sort of thing...:)

LFC have to win to have any chance of keeping up with the CL challengers. Although we are 5 points only from top 3, there are 4 teams in front of us so that we need all of them to falter. The mancs tripping is not enough...

For me it could be a narrow win against saints and a "clinging with their fingernails until the last whistle win" for the swans.

Saints 0-1 LFC
Swansea 3-2 MU

nothing wrong with saying that but it doesn't mean we will.

again if offered i'd take a draw in this Southampton game.

lfc will have to play with intensity, big club rival game face on and really deliver to win it. i remember 2 years ago rodgers went with ibe on the bench like it was nothing....... then got beat and last year the eam reamed them.

we have to go full out to beat them.

i think wether they've over achieved or not... they should be big long ball, powerful, hard running and just plain good... i call them one trick which they are but we have to get the first goal cos we won't get many chances.

should be fascinating. pelle v skertl in the air. two actual wide men to cross it and two full backs over lapping too.

we have to dominate possession
