And only one draw in the league. Almost perfect.

we cannot deny that last year when two CMs were injured we were badly affected. We are lookin gat 4 players out and not too bothered now.

BUT........... not bothered and being good enough are two different questions.

all i'm saying is its good we've not missed johnson, we've not missed gerrard, we've not missed allen.... we missed sturrdige big time but had warm bodies which is pretty serious but still.
 
Europa League is way better than the CL

In the CL you watch 2 games a day with teams desperately playing for a draw (75% of them succeeding) so we can find out the winner 3 ****ing weeks later

Today we will instead see 32 teams fighting for the win so they can rest players next week

No wonder the CL games are played first in the week, it would be such a massive comedown to follow up 16 games across 4 hours with just 2 games that you can't even watch both of because they're on at the same time <doh>

Lucas and Gerrard injuries are classic examples of overworking. Rodgers really needs to learn how to rotate.

Gerrard isn't an issue. Missing an actual DM (Lucas) will hurt us.
 
If Besiktas play anywhere near as well as they did against Arsenal then this will be a really tricky tie. I was really impressed with their build up play in both legs even if their finishing wasn't the best.

We really could do with winning tonight as well because our record in Turkey isn't the best and we've got tough league games coming up
