If I was a footballer and Jimmy was manager, I'd either be really impressed or thoroughly fcked off with him in charge <laugh>

  3. He's certainly arrogant enough to be a manager, shame he can't spot true talent <whistle>

I wouldn't be a manager. I would be First Team Coach, and I'll work within a continental structure, under a DoF. <ok>

And I would get things right on my accord #LuckedOut

Roy Evans played this system 20 years ago, and we played some damn fine football. Problem was, whilst I always felt we could beat any team, the downside was that any team could beat us; though that may be down to some of the personal we had playing at the time. I was never convinced by Phil Babb, for instance, and McAteer managed to move the best right wing back in the country in Rob Jones to left-wing back to accommodate him. And Stan Collymore only put an effort in one game out of five, at most.

Yep this is the problem - I used to enjoy attacking aggressive football (I still do) but the best teams have solid defences and midfields. I would happily compensate our attack and play a slightly less attacking game if it meant we were more solid at the back, physical in the midfield and tactically disciplined all round.
