United won't press us like Spurs did, so I can't see us being as bad on the ball as were against Spurs. We need to use the same tactics as we did against City, defend in numbers and break quicky.Actually think we can beat them IF everyone is putting a shift in and working hard off the ball. If we play like we did against Spurs, we'll lose comfortably.

Arsenals record v Utd

United are not that good, BUT depending on the tactics, you can make them look good, that is if you play to their strengths. United have the players who can hurt you on the break, and they've practically always used this against us for the last years, sitting back, letting us have the ball, but then hitting us on the break. So if we decide to play like that again, i.e. the Arsenal way, we could end up losing AGAIN....However if we play to United's weakness which is so evident right now, and force them to play, and force them to create chances, find space etc, they will struggle, and we can then be the ones who hit them on the break as we are also lethal on the counter.
So it all depends on Wenger, if he has finally wised up on how to play United, it's evident that our tactics against them has been abysmal over the past few seasons resulting in no wins, but if we change the tactics and play to their weaknesses, we can get something out of Old Trafford.
Arsenal have been playing better than United. And United have often been poor against average sides. LVG will know how to play Arsenal.
But arsenal is a top side and united players will be fully gee'd up for their visit. Somehow I feel this is a good draw for us (almost as good as drawing the RS at home)
Hopefully we are as up and geared for it as well, like against City, if we are, it will be another good win in Manchester.

It will deffinately be another good win in Manchester![]()
For us, I'm confident we are going to beat you and knock you out, everything comes to an end eventually, and we are finally owed something against you, and I'm sure the boys will be up for it and will want to prove it, like they did VS City.
Hopefully it leads to another meltdown at United just like the last time we knocked you out of the cup at Old Trafford in 2003, with the whole Fergie-Beckham bust up.![]()
What makes you think this, we owe you nothing and as usual you will probably get nothing.
I didn't say you owe us anything, we owe it to ourselves, and we will finally do it, our record is so bad, and that is what will spur the motivation-drive from the players, as they did VS City....There's not going to much said to motivate them, their the defending their trophy, against a rival United who had the best of us over the past few years, that's all the motivation you need.
I wanted United in the next round, preferably at the Emirates, but hey beating and knocking you out at Old Trafford will make it more juicy now and more meaningful. As I said, I am confident we will do it, everything comes to an end eventually, and our terrible record against you can't go on forever. We shall prevail over you.
As for getting nothing, once we beat you, you'll be ending the season with nothing, again for the second year in a row. ;-). I'm liking this new era at United.
It's ****ing annoying that the one game we most likely won't win is the game we end up getting.
But the hoodoo needs to end at some point. It can't keep going on forever.
Hopefully we have a fully fit squad to choose from.
