When I moved to London in the 80s I adopted Spurs as my 2nd team mainly because the lads at work supported them, they played decent football and also have always had a dislike for Arsenal :emoticon-0100-smile

Yeah - I think I was about 14 years old at the time - it was rammed. I remember running on the pitch at the end of the game and almost knocking Alan Brazil over in my excitement. I can't remember the score but I think it was something like 5 -1 or 5 - 0 to Man U.....
Wouldn't be able to knock him over now mind you......

Cheltenham town for me, used to love going to see swansea play at whoddon road. Always watch for their results, I've even been there a couple of times to watch them play other sides as well. I have a soft spot for them.

Contrary to everyone's belief i have supported The Arsenal and not Liverpool since i was a young lad. I was at the Swansea town V Arsenal match with my late dad with over 32,000+ others crammed into the vetch like sardines. I have been a fan of them ever since except when they play us....

Dai - yep. My mate and I were sitting on the same wall. I had a rattle - but can't remember if I took it with me.

I still think that our disallowed "goal" should have stood!

There again, I suppose that I am biased! <laugh>

Happy days where you actually enjoyed watching players play for pride for the club and not just for money..

Do you remember another pre-season friendly against Man U in (I think) 92? It was the first season of the backpass rule. The very first thing we did from kick-off was pass back to Freestone who picked up!! haha, from the resulting free-kick Dion Dublin missed an open goal but 1-1 in the end if I remember correctly.

My other teams are Hearts of Oak FC, the fantastic Accra based Ghanaian club side and the Wellington Phoenix who play in Australia's A-League but are in NZ (similar to the Welsh clubs that play in the English Leagues).
Also have a soft spot for Luton Town since the days of Ricky Hill and the Stein brothers and of course Andy Dibble in goal!
