How does 2 defeats in 23 games equate to to being ****e?

The leaping on the 'style' of performance is laughable, all that ulitmately matters is the result.

If they're still playing without a defined pattern of play next season then I think it'd be fair to really question his methods.

However, coming from a set of fans who claim virtually every season is one of 'transition' it's hilarious that you're wading in when they're sat in 3rd.

I don't want to get caught up in the current argument, but I think this is an interesting point.
You see, I'm not convinced that it is only points that matter. Of course if they win you a trophy you'll be happy to win it, but surely fans want their team to play well and be entertaining to watch, otherwise what's the point? It then comes down to bragging rights over rivals rather than a serious love of the game.
I feel the same when people say diving and cheating are acceptable because it's only winning that counts. I just don't agree with that and never will.
Being happy at winning even though you've played badly should have more to do with relief than pride.

Man Utd have paid the Glazers £500m to turn them into Stoke under Pulis

Season's not even over but I can see why you are desperate to call time on it <ok>
So he's going to improve on last season after spending another £100m is he?

Oh right, another [HASHTAG]#dumbass[/HASHTAG] prediction right there.

When you're the 2nd best team in the whole country and the 1st cost billions of pounds there's not a lot of headroom for improvement <ok>

Depends on your starting point.

If they'd been playing like Barca in their pomp and had won the league at a canter last season, then of course your point is valid.

But they finished 7th had a mess of a squad and were all over the place in their 'style' last season.

So this season results are more important than performance for them imo.

Results > performance.

Not always true. I'd rather win ****all than endure Mourinho type super negative football every week.

I obviously liked the trophies we won under Houllier but I loathed the football. It was like pulling teeth!

Im not arsed about the fans. Thats tge view point of the clubs. Results pay the bills.

You win nothing for looking nice. Ask a gooner.

It's an entertainment business too, I want to look forward to watching my team, not see it as a chore. Obviously, everyone wants to win.

Oh its been entertaining. Seeing games where both sides are involved rather than the years of ten behind the ball is actually a good thing.

Last season for us was awesome. Every game was exciting to watch. Quality attack and **** defence makes for a great emotional rollercoaster <laugh>

I don't think the style matters too much so long it's not boring.
