Not sure what's funnier, the once great United pumping it long or Big Sam moaning about it!!

I'm not manager but surely one of the key rules is to play players in their best positions. Rooney in midfield, Di Maria not in a wide role, wingers at full back, Falcao not in the stands....what the F is LVG doing!?!?

What's also funny is some of them have the cheek to criticise our football still <laugh>.

What else can they do? We're operating on a shoe string compared to them nowadays and continue to outperform them. Now they can't throw the money thing at us they are fast running out of excuses! I'm sure it'll be another 100 million on attackers in the summer to try and buy back Fergie's success.

An occasional long ball (west ham played more yesterday) is fine.

Your football is rightly criticised for you putting 10 behind the ball against any decent side. Its already backfired a number of times this season though in the past its worked well fo you.

We all laugh because you have the best side but need to do it. However in reality it shows your manager has the ability to change it up as does LvG.

Now Wenger and Rodgers. No, change is something neither have any clue about and hence why both will do nothing.

I don't care if you do it. If it works go ahead, that's what I say. Just don't criticise others.

You are all aware of van gaals rep arent you.

If you are you wony be surprised. The guy is a loonatic and the fact he managed half a season without reacting is pretty good for him.

This is a guy who gets his balls out to demonstrate what they are and how his players dont have any. Proving his point is pretty tame.

I am waiting for him to go full head master mode.

I guess the style of play only matters to those paying to watch. If you don't like what you see stop watching or go elsewhere. I think the majority of fans don't care so long as the team wins. They wouldn't care if Mr. O.Goal or their keeper was the team leading scorer so long as the team is winning. It seems long balls only become a problem when the team isn't playing well or they dangle from underneath your shorts. Professional sport demands you win anyway you can, and that has implications way beyond the style of football or tactics.

Long ball is a great tactic. It is not in anyway similar to hoof ball tactics which involve aimless hoofs to nobody.
